Who would of thought that picking a middle name would be so hard. So far these are our favorites:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Scarlet[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] (although I question the first and middle both ending in a)
DH would prefer something that is one or two syllables, but we want to avoid all the overly common names. We also want something that is easily recognizable by English speakers. Any suggestions would help. I am due Dec 9, so I am feeling a little pressured to decide.
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] - [name]Even[/name] though I like both names together they seem too frilly
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - My fav from your list - Two strong classy names
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Scarlet[/name] - I’ve never like [name]Scarlet[/name] so this combination doesn’t appeal to me
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] - See [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
Thanks for the feed back. [name]Garnet[/name] is interesting, my maiden name is [name]Garrett[/name]. There are so many great choices, I am leaning toward [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], I can see how the ultra feminine [name]Lydia[/name] might need a stronger middle name. My only concern is that I already have a son named [name]Jonas[/name], and that is sorta close to [name]Josephine[/name]. I have two sons, [name]Sterling[/name] [name]Theodore[/name], and [name]Jonas[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. Maybe a strong middle would make [name]Lydia[/name] a better match with her brothers? All suggestions welcome!
[name]Lydia[/name] is one of my favorite names…
but my absolute favorite middle name with [name]Lydia[/name] is [name]Adele[/name].
I love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Adele[/name] and may use it for myself one day
I love [name]Lydia[/name]! My favorite from your list is [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], and I have 2 other suggestions:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
(2 classics that balance out the feminine, but classic [name]Lydia[/name].)
Lets see, you mentioned your husband wanted 1-2 syllable names so and you don’t necessarily want an ‘a’ ending so I’ll just throw a bunch out there and hope one sticks or gives you an idea…: (sorry for any repeats!)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Iris[/name]/ [name]Isis[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Helene[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Opal[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Constance[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] (maybe a little silly but I have a soft spot for [name]Poppy[/name])
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Autumn[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Annabell[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Eden[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mable[/name]
Hmm, sorry, the styles are all a bit over the place!
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] for sure! I hesitated for a moment when I saw that your son’s name is [name]Jonas[/name], but thinking about it, I don’t think it’s an issue because she won’t be called [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] all the time, and [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Jonas[/name] aren’t all that similar after all.
