I like Frances since it honors your mother, but Melisandre really kicks this up to another level especially since Brown is a fairly common last name. Maybe you could use Francesca or some other variant of Frances to honor your mother?

I really like the simplicity of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] has to be my pick since it’s part of my [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] combo too :).

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is perfect! Then I see it’s a family name, and that makes it even more perfect.

I have a cousin [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_m]Brown[/name_m]. I’ve always thought [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] was the prettiest name of all my girl cousins - it has always sounded beautiful and sophisticated to me even when I was 5 and 6 years old.

I think choosing honor for the middle is always a safe bet and nowadays [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is becoming very modern again. Plus there is always the possibilty of the nn [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] which I think is the cutest.
