My current fave name, both my husband and I like is [name]Mia[/name] (pron Mee-uh). What middle names do you all suggest for it?
I think it goes well with my other daughter’s name, [name]Dani[/name] (which is not a nn for anything else), and I don’t mind that some think [name]Mia[/name] is a a nickname name. I think it stands well on its own.
Some middle names I like are:
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (Then again, with a noun in the middle, it sounds like someone’s describing herself, saying “Me a pearl.”)
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] would be cute. I like a 3 syllable mn for [name]Mia[/name], such as
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Lorelai[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name]
I think [name]Mia[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is pretty cute, but i think i prefer [name]Mia[/name] [name]Bella[/name] - although [name]Bella[/name] is becoming quite popular so not sure how you would feel about that…
[name]Do[/name] you want a short or long middle name?
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is cute, but it will only really work with a longer last name, such as [name]Mia[/name] [name]Belle[/name] [name]Washington[/name]…
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is charming. [name]Mia[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] is pretty but seems a bit too vowel heavy and somehow not as solid as [name]Mia[/name] [name]Belle[/name].
Here are some other ideas:
I like [name]Mia[/name] well enough. [name]Belle[/name] is one of the worst possible middles with it. [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Belle[/name] might run together into something resembling [name]Mirabel/name.
[name]Mia[/name] [name]Delaney[/name], [name]Mia[/name] [name]Liv[/name], [name]Mia[/name] [name]Sigourney[/name] - Too Hollywood.
The first thing that occurs to me is to pair [name]Mia[/name] with one of those 70s-style names like [name]Stacy[/name] or [name]Tracy[/name]. I guess I like pairing a name that has an E sound in the middle with one that has it at the end.
Our last name starts with an A and is two syllables, so [name]Eloise[/name] is probably too vowel heavy, I just love that name.
I’m not sure how many syllables, probabl;y one or two would both be okay.
I kind of like [name]Mia[/name] [name]Delaney[/name], why did someone say that is too Hollywood?
Any other suggestions?
I don’t think [name]Mia[/name] [name]Delaney[/name] is too Hollywood…I like [name]Delaney[/name] as a middle name. I saw the suggestion [name]Mia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], that is pretty, too. You could also go with [name]Mia[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Mia[/name] [name]Rose[/name].
No to [name]Paige[/name] because that is my first daughter’s mn!
I also like [name]Mia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], and it is my grandma’s name, but it reminds me of a nun named [name]Mary[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] or something.
I also love [name]Mia[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Grace[/name]/[name]Gracie[/name] is one of our fave for fn’s and my sister in law used it for her daughters mn so would it be weird if I used it too for a mn?
I also like [name]Mia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], but does it sound too much like [name]Mary[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (the shoes?)
I just wanted to say that I have a little [name]Mia[/name], she is now 5. We struggled with finding a mn that we loved as well. We finally decided on [name]Mia[/name] [name]Taylor[/name]. [name]Taylor[/name] was my doctors last name. I made the joke that we would end up naming her after the doctor if we couldn’t decide on a middle. After saying the two names aloud together, we both immediately knew it was the one. I really like unisex middle names my oldest has a unisex middle name so [name]Taylor[/name] all though trendy for a girls name did fit this criteria.
I don’t think [name]Mia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds like [name]Mary[/name] [name]Jane[/name]; then again, I don’t have a problem with [name]Mary[/name] [name]Jane[/name].
