We’ve gotten mixed reviews on using the name [name]Mordecai[/name] for our first boy but we can’t get over it. We both [name]LOVE[/name] everything about it. We just need a middle. It’s such a strong name and our last name is too so I’ve been looking for the perfect middle to “cinch” them together. Our last name is pronounced exactly like my SN (sea-bold) just spelled differently.
Our daughters are [name]Naomi[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Emma[/name] [name]Katherine[/name].
A lot of these names would never work with [name]Mordecai[/name] but I figured I’d list them all to give a good idea of what we like so far. I’m open to any suggestions.
Agh. [name]Mordecai[/name] is such a guilty pleasure of mine. I absolutely love the way it sounds, but I don’t think it would ever get past my family. But you could use the nickname [name]Cai[/name] and I just…gah. [name]Love[/name] it.
I like [name]Xavier[/name].
My first knee jerk pick was Brasen – [name]Just[/name] because to me I felt it flowed well and tied the two together. [name]Mordecai[/name] Brasen “Seabold” though [name]Xavier[/name] is definitely a winner too.
[name]Mordecai[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Mordecai[/name] [name]Xavier[/name] (but only if you pronounce it “zay-vee-er”)
[name]Mordecai[/name] [name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Mordecai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Mordecai[/name] [name]Luke[/name] was a great suggestion.
