We’re expecting little [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] in [name_f]May[/name_f] and need help choosing her middle name. We’d like to honor both of our mothers who both have [name_f]Ann[/name_f] somewhere in their name. As we see it, we have three options…
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] (The most straight up, basic way of honoring them… But short and plain. Kind of sounds like a double-barrel name and I don’t love that.)
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] (Great-grandma, the matriarch of DH’s family was [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], so we mashed that -bel in their to make it a little more interesting/frilly)
3)[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Something-[name_f]Else[/name_f]-with-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]
Last name it two syllables, starts with K. Thoughts, opinions, suggestions, help?
I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! I agree that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds a bit plain and could get mistaken for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f].
What about [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Angeline[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annika[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annora[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]?
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is a really nice combo. I really like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] too.
