I am completely stumped with the middle name for my third baby. We have two girls already and this baby will be a surprise. We are set with our boys name but the girls name is proving harder.
My first two girls have middle names from family members on my side. My husband was hoping that we would pick a middle name honouring his side this time but none sound right.
Her first name will be [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] and these are the options we have:
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliane[/name_f]
[name_f]Wendy[/name_f]
[name_f]Rita[/name_f]
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
I’m not mentioning whose side is which to keep it unbiased!

I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Eliane[/name_f] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] are gorgeous. [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f]/[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]/[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] can stand in and honour a [name_f]Susan[/name_f]. [name_f]Marguerita[/name_f] could honour [name_f]Rita[/name_f]. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerita[/name_f] is lovely.
I think [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] flows beautifully. I also like [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Susan[/name_f]. The others don’t flow as well, [name_f]IMO[/name_f], especially [name_f]Rita[/name_f], but I also think honoring family should trump flow. I agree using a varient of some of the names is a good idea.
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] are my favorites with [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] sounds a tad bit better but I do think [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] works rather nicely. That said, I do think it might be nice to use a name from DH’s side just to be fair. If he doesn’t like the sound of the full name with his family names then maybe pick from your side. On a side note, if you took DH’s last name or will be using it for your kids I feel like in a sense you are already honoring his family and so to use a name from your side for the middle isn’t all that unreasonable.
