We’ve picked the name [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] for our boy, due at the end of the summer, and now we’re weighing the options for middle names.
My grandfather’s middle name was [name_m]Hall[/name_m] and I love that it’s a family name! However, I’m worried that maybe [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Hall[/name_m] feels like too much like the lodge you might stay at if we went to family camp. What do you think?
Other middle names that I like are [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] which match well with his siblings timeless middle names.
I agree with you on [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Hall[/name_m], it sounds like a conference room or lodge like you said. It doesn’t mean it can’t work depending on your last name and on how often you feel you’ll use the child’s middle name as well.
If you still want the [name_m]Hall[/name_m] connection, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] seems like a great choice, you have the H in there to honour your grandfather, but without the name sounding like a room instead of a child.
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are both gorgeous, and blend beautifully with your existing sibset!
Have you considered [name_m]Hale[/name_m] as a way of honoring [name_m]Hall[/name_m]? [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Hale[/name_m] would be so gentle and beautiful.
