I would love to use a middle name that starts with A for a tradition with initials, but would consider dropping the tradition if we can’t find the perfect name.
Hubby is SUPER picky and only likes these two A names we’ve discussed so far.
[name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] are family names so I’d feel less guilty dropping tradition.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is just a name we keep coming back to but has no special meaning.
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is gorgeous and my favourite on your list, and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is my favourite of your A names.
I like pp suggestions of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for lovely and unexpected A names with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] also sound great.
I loge [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] fits very well stylistically and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is unexpected; but both flow and fits perfectly! My favourite A combination is [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f].
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is my favorite of your choices, followed by [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].
I don’t love an A starting middle after the “A” ending of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] but if you’re going for it the best I think is for a surprising name like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] or [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]. Both of these are beautiful. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] repeats too many of the sounds of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and almost sounds like a palindrome.
I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] the most out of the suggested A names, but hubby is still set on [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I do like it more than [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] for sure so I’m glad he dropped that!
I’m not loving any of the non-A names more than [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! I don’t know why I love it, but it just feels right even though I’ve always been huge on family names.
I think for now we have the list narrowed down to-
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] or
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
Thanks everyone! It helps tremendously to hear from an outsider who isn’t trying to push anything on us!
