We don’t know gender of baby #3 yet, but I’m a planner, and I’ve been having a hard time nailing down good middle name options for our top girl name ([name_u]Vivien[/name_u]). When I combine my other favorite girl names with [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], they all sound too posh or sophisticated.
Sibs are [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Libby[/name_f]). E&E are both family names, but we don’t have any other family names we want to drop into that middle name spot for #3.
If #3 is a boy our top choice is [name_u]Alden[/name_u], probably [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]. (Yes I like surnames, lol.)
I like old [name_f]English[/name_f] names, or Latin names with a strong [name_f]English[/name_f] history. Possibly a surname that can swing feminine. Looking for a name less common or more modern to balance out the traditional side of [name_u]Vivien[/name_u].
Middle names I like but don’t quite hit the spot: [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u].
Any suggestions? There’s got to be a perfect middle name out there, just haven’t found it yet…
