We’re very indecisive and now are considering [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] as a first name. Any suggestions for a middle? Last name is 2 syllables and ends with an “-is” sound.
I think I’d prefer a 2 syllable middle, but I’d consider others as well.
This is just a list I’m randomly throwing together with names I like to start it off:
All lovely! I like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u], and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. Are you a fan of Viven [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] to go with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] came to mind too.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is gorgeous! I like most of your combinations, and I think [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] is adorable.
I personally wouldn’t use [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Evie[/name_f] because there are a lot of V’s and I prefer middle names to have a contrasting sound. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], as another poster mentioned, reminds me of [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. I love her, but not sure I would use her as a namesake. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is overused in the middle name spot, so it’s not a favorite of mine due to that, but is very sweet.
Of your options I really like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u], and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I would also suggest:
My favorite from your list is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], but I also love @cashmeresocks’s suggestion of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f].
Ooo I really love [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], that was my great grandma’s name. I hadn’t even considered it. Although I don’t know if I love how it sounds with our last name.
I also hadn’t made the [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] connection so thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Honestly, I threw that list together on the spot and it’s not “my list”. I just wanted to throw some names up there to get the ball rolling.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is really the only one I had given any thought to previously because I adore the name [name_u]Winter[/name_u].
I’m starting to think a 1 syllable middle might work best with our last name. I’m so lost!
Okay, this is harder than I thought. Trying to avoid so many letters and sounds! No ‘v’ or ‘g’ letters/sounds. Have to be careful with the letter ‘l’ as well. Last name has 2 'l’s. No ‘-is’ sound can be in there, especially not at the end.
Here is my actual thought out list unlike my first randomly thrown together one:
From those, I really like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u].
W/your name being two syllables, I think I’d look for a middle name that wasn’t two syllables…either one or three or more. However, some of your combinations w/two-syllable mns are lovely…I especially like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u] & [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. Although [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has become a cliched middle name, I really like the way it sounds w/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Would you consider [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? From your list of middle names longer than two syllables, my favorite is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] w/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] close behind. Perhaps [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f]? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]? Good luck!
Of your options, I really like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
