MIddle name help - due in 5 days!

We are set on the first name [name]Stella[/name] and thought we were set on the middle name [name]Josephine[/name]. DH and I are both having doubts now.

One of the reasons we liked [name]Josephine[/name] was that it references a family name. It itself is NOT a family name, however. Our older DD is [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Esperanza[/name] and we are really thinking we’d like another spanish sounding middle name for DD #2. DH is not a fan of [name]Josefina[/name].

A few middle names we are tossing around are [name]Karina[/name], [name]Pilar[/name], and [name]Beatriz[/name]. He also mentioned [name]Maria[/name] but I am not a fan. Our last name is pronounced Meh - HEE - uh (Mejia).

I would love to hear some suggestions/opinions and would be grateful for your help!

My fav would be [name]Stella[/name] [name]Beatriz[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] too though. Why are you having doubts about it?

I would stick with [name]Stella[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! Its beautiful

[name]Sophie[/name] esperanza is lovely too and works well but since stella finishes with “a”, a spanish middle name might sound too much imo.

[name]Hi[/name], may I suggest the middle name of [name]Esperanza[/name] (which is Spanish for “hope”). [name]Stella[/name] [name]Esperanza[/name] Mejia has a nice lyrical ring to it! All the Best!

I agree [name]Stella[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is a pretty name, but we’d like a Spanish middle name (DH is hispanic).

Thanks for the suggestion of [name]Esperanza[/name] - we love that name, it’s our ODDs middle name. :slight_smile:

Right now we are leaning towards [name]Pilar[/name]. It is a family name (DH’s grandmother) so that carries a lot of weight for us. And it is undeniably a Spanish name. We think [name]Beatriz[/name] is a beautiful name and like the meaning, but we have no other connection to it.

Hopefully “[name]Stella[/name] [name]Pilar[/name]” isn’t too heavy with the “L” sounds. For some reason, I think it works. Thanks, again!
