My husband and I have decided to name our baby [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] to honor both of our mothers. We love the name but can’t think of a middle name that works well with [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] and our one syllable last name.
I worry about her not liking [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] and wanting to go by her middle name–which is fine–but we don’t want it to be something too plain. We both really liked [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] until we realized how it sounded together.
Any thoughts are appreciated! There is clearly no wrong answer!
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] is a gorgeous name!! I think it’s really underused. I don’t think [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] actually sound too bad but there are other names that flow better with it.
Suggestions:
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Janine[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] Estée
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Donna[/name_f]

[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
I’d go with something daring in the middle and maybe something to lead to a nickname between first + middle.
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (nn [name_f]CeCe[/name_f])
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Cece[/name_f] or [name_f]Cleo[/name_f])
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Jewel[/name_f] (nn CJ)
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] (nn CJ)
Caroyn [name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Sequoia[/name_u]
I know a lot of [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaking Carolines who go by [name_u]Caro[/name_u], which is super cute.
Thank you for your suggestions! I like several of them and it has led me to look at names surrounding those!
