I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] rolls off the tongue nicely, [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] sounds nice too. But I wouldn’t let fashion stop you from using your favourite grandma’s name. [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] might be a bit dated now, but it’s not awful; plus, who knows what will be popular in twenty years! Good luck.

Of the family names I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] best, but [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so sweet and allows for [name_f]Susie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] if you’re ever feeling sassy and Southern–so fun.

I don’t think [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] is too mean for the middle name spot. I would never recommend it as a first name, but the middle name often doesn’t see the light of day very often, and you have a very compelling reason to use it.

If you’re not sold on [name_f]Gladys[/name_f], I think my next favourite is [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - lovely flow. The only one I’d nix is [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] - too many S sounds, and they end in the same sound and same letters. You may like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], to mesh [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is my favourite but if you like [name_f]Gladys[/name_f], go with it because it is meaningful. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is too plain for me.

I voted for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] a lot, too!

You have a brilliant batch of middles to choose from. It was difficult to narrow it down to just one favorite for me. I ending up voting for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but I also really like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] is fine in the middle. The middle is actually the perfect spot for a name like [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] in my opinion. If you want to soften up the image, what about using two middles like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?

From this [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] to a little [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]: I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Stay away from [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. Too many S-es and A-s. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely but not with your last name. ("[name_u]Gray[/name_u]…" and “[name_u]Kay[/name_u]…”) A couple more suggestions: [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is sweet. [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] are is keeping with the [name_m]French[/name_m] of the [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]/[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] names. Wishing your little [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] health and happiness.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are best as they are short and sweet after the longer first name. It flows with your two syllable last name. I would also steer away from another name with S sounds such as [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and ones that end in the -ah sound, (also [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]).

I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] has the best flow with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. I absolutely adore [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]! Both [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] sound too hissy with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. I like the idea of hazel but the two H together spelled out bugs me. I voted [name_f]Clover[/name_f] just because it’s sweet and unexpected with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] was my runner up choice.

I second this!

But I’m going to go completely against popular opinion here, because I like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and I would pick it were it not for the family significance of [name_f]Gladys[/name_f]. If you’d like a really Victorian-feeling name, you might consider [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Gladys[/name_f]!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]! [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] are just beautiful! I also like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]! It is really unexpected and gives me a ‘wow’ feeling!
I find that I am unable to be a cheerleader for [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] even though I tend to always vote for meaningful family names. My mom’s first name is [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] and she refuses to acknowledge it. She was teased horribly growing up because of her name and her story has really turned me off of it as well.

I have my Granny’s name as a middle and I’m proud! So I think [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] should be a contender. I don’t like the Nameberry definition of ‘lame’ and it doesn’t “flow” as well as some of the others but whatevs, the point is it honors a great person in your life and that is priceless.

[name_f]Honor[/name_f] names aside, I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Belle[/name_u] is my favorite. It sounds beautiful, feminine, a little magical, bright, light and happy. I think it’s simply the best pairing of them all. I see [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is in the lead and it is nice, sophisticated, refined even but for me [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Belle[/name_u] is more joyful. I also like [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f].

Top 3 - no particular order because it’s too hard!
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Gladys[/name_f] - honor name
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Belle[/name_u] - happy/bright
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - classic/refined

Perhaps Susannah Belle Claire…
