I voted for [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]… but it was a really difficult decision!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] (I prefer [name]Sarah[/name]) has a really beautiful meaning though, ahh! I can’t choose.
I chose [name]Victoria[/name] as the middle name just because I loved the flow and I think the combo sound so strong and beautiful. I am a sucker for meaningful names though Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either; I know that doesn’t really help your situation in deciding though! My knee-jerk reaction was [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] but when I thought about it more, I realized that I enjoy both names.
If it was me, I think I would go with [name]Sara[/name] due to the doubly special significance. If you prefer the more elaborate name [name]Victoria[/name] over the significance of [name]Sara[/name], then go with [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] instead. This is probably not much help. [name]Both[/name] are beautiful, and you can’t go wrong with either one.
I love how [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] sounds. And, I also understand about wanting to be sentimental, but [name]Sara[/name] just doesn’t “feel” right to me. [name]How[/name] it feels to you both is a Totally different story. It seems a bit short to me, personally. Also, just wondering if the two older girls will feel a bit left out if baby sister was named for mom and they weren’t. Once again totally depends on the girls. They may not think anything of it and like that baby is named for her. Or, they may have names to honor others in the family. [name]Just[/name] another thing to consider depending on their ages/opinions. If it were My situation I’d probably want to dig more into more options for “S” middle names.
A little off topic, our youngest daughter is named “[name]Isabelle[/name].” I’ve read that “[name]Isabelle[/name]” and “[name]Elizabeth[/name]” are the same name in different languages. Does anyone think much of that? Clearly in English they are two distinctly different names that would not be confused for one another. Any thoughts?
I voted [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] because [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] were both queens!
~[name]Jasmine[/name]
[name]Love[/name] the story with [name]Sara[/name]. Too lovely to pass on, in my opinion. Good luck!
Definitely [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] and love it pronounced with the ‘are’ sound in [name]Sara[/name] not the ‘air’ sound as in [name]Sarah[/name].
rollo
I have to go with ESB! Very cute connection there.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] have similar meanings. I wouldn’t use both names for the first names of my daughters. But it’s really up to you. If you’re going to have a nickname for both girls then it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.
I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name]. They both have beautiful meanings and I like the flow better.
I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] for the flow and the meaning. But as you can tell by the comments, both are great!
I wouldn’t bat an eye if I met two daughters named [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name]. They stand in my mind as individual names.
I voted [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]; it’s so lovely and regal. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] is soooo plain.
Thanks r_j, I really feel the same way. [name]How[/name] concerned should one really be with the similarity in name meanings anyhow? I know my middle name ([name]Andrew[/name]) stands for “[name]Manly[/name],” but it’s not as though my parents were naming me for that reason. haha I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] are fine. We call [name]Isabelle[/name] ([name]Izzy[/name] or [name]Belle[/name]), we are thinking we’ll call most likely “nickname” [name]Elizabeth[/name] “[name]Eliza[/name]” or possibly “[name]Libbie[/name].” So it’s not as though we’d even call one “[name]Izzy[/name]” and the other “[name]Liz[/name]” or whatever. Thanks everyone for your help!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] just sounds sad to me compared to [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. [name]Sara[/name] is just so plain compared to [name]Elizabeth[/name].
I don’t like [name]Sara[/name] for a middle name; it is too first name-ish. Plus I hate the name [name]Sara[/name]/h. BUT [name]Victoria[/name] is a beautiful middle name!!!
I voted for [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] because I love the story and that her initials would be ESB!
I really like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name], two of my fav names and lots of good meaning!
I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name] & would i’m thinking of using [name]Sara[/name] as a middle name for my baby bump!
In my opinion [name]Elizabeth[/name] & [name]Sara[/name] both has beautiful meanings & flow so well together.
Aww, I love [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sara[/name]. I voted for it before I read the story and totally! You’ve got to!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]! So gorgeous and with wonderful historical (and literary) connections! I voted for it before I read your post, which does make me lean more towards [name]Sara[/name] because it’s such a sweet story, but I just don’t like [name]Sara[/name]. As a PP said, I like how they’re both queens (and pretty amazing ones at that!) You can see from my signature they’re both among my favourite names
