Middle Name Help

Ok! I have hit a snag in trying to name our baby. My husband does not know the sex of the baby(a girl obviously) but now knows that I know. So discussing possible names with him is out of the question. Before I accidently found out the sex we had narrowed our options down to a few. We are going for a not terribly popular name and something a bit unique. Any suggestions beyond this list are MORE than welcome. Here is my list so far:

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Athena[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] Aloura
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Lee[/name]

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Athena[/name] - I don’t mind this one, not my favorite though
[name]Lilyann[/name] Aloura - This one’s my [name]FAVORITE[/name]…the flow is gorgeous
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] - [name]Aurora[/name] was my favorite name growing up
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - while I love the name [name]Rose[/name], it just feels tired as a middle name
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Lee[/name] - cute! forms possible nn [name]Leelee[/name]

Here’s a few more:
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Mauve[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Everly[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Frost[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Lane[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Odele[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Twila[/name]
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Aster[/name] (instead of [name]Rose[/name])
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] (instead of [name]Rose[/name])
[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Padget[/name] (pronounced like [name]Paige[/name]…[name]Lilyann[/name] is English and [name]Padget[/name] is the English form of [name]Paige[/name]…although [name]Paige[/name] works just as well)

Oops! Ignore this! (I can’t delete it!)

[name]Hi[/name] there! [name]Lily[/name] is a lovely name, and [name]Anne[/name] is gorgeous, too. That said, for me, [name]Lilyann[/name] sadly looks like an invented name, while [name]Lillian[/name] is beautiful. [name]Lillian[/name] is, however, ranked #33, which is very, very popular. Spelling the name differently doesn’t make it sound different than [name]Lillian[/name], so you may want to consider this.

[name]Liliana[/name] would be a great alternative.

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Athena[/name]: I do like [name]Athena[/name], but not with [name]Lillian[/name]…

[name]Lilyann[/name] Aloura: [name]Lillian[/name] Aloura is gorgeous!

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]: [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is fabulous!

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: [name]Rose[/name] is my favorite name, but it’s overused as a middle, and makes the name too flowery.

[name]Lilyann[/name] [name]Lee[/name]: Not a fan of [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Lee[/name]…[name]Lee[/name] is unisex and dated, while [name]Lillian[/name] is very feminine and

Of your choices, I pick [name]Lillian[/name] Aloura. Great name!

[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] (Still a flower name, but perhaps less obviously so than [name]Rose[/name]?)
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Esme[/name]

[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] was my grandmother’s name. I love it.
I agree that [name]Lillian[/name] is a better choice than Lillyann. [name]Lillian[/name] looks more serious. The nicknames [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Lillie[/name] help it to lighten up a lot!
Also love:
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Flora[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Claudine[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Francine[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Maud[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Grace[/name], yes [name]Grace[/name] is a really popular name, but it’s gorgeous with [name]Lillian[/name].
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Elspeth[/name]

My favorite is [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Francine[/name]. Adorable! Makes me think of a gorgeous little French black suede purse from the 40’s that’s more vertical than horizontal. Of course [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Maud[/name] is amazing, too.

agree - [name]Lillian[/name] over Lillyann, and that [name]Lillian[/name] Alora is lovely, though I really like [name]Liliana[/name] as well. That wound need a non-A middle like [name]Blythe[/name]… good luck!

I vote for either Lillyann Aloura or Lillyann [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are so beautiful and elegant.

[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

I would pronounce Lillyann differently from [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].
To me, Lillyann would be lily-[name_f]ANN[/name_f]
while [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is LILL-ian

Anyways, personally I would rule out [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to avoid two floral names. I would rule out [name_u]Lee[/name_u] because it just doesn’t add much and is phonetically repetitive. I’m also partial to [name_u]Lee[/name_u] on a boy.
I like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] if you want to add some oomph and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] if you want ultra frilly.

I tend to agree [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] makes for a better name for a baby to grow into, but if your love is [name_f]Lilyanne[/name_f] then lucky you that you know what you want.
I like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] Aloura and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
the most. @cora has put forward every lovely name I could and much more.
best wishes
Edited to add. Love Cordelia as a middle.
Have you been able to resolve the I know but DH doesnt. We had an exact situation
ourselves just not as important as our baby.
DH was adamant he did not want to know so I just had to pretend for quite a while going with both sides of the story.
He is very determined and I can keep a straight face but he got his surprise?
Doable? again good luck.
