We’re expecting our fourth and have short lists for boys and girls…but haven’t gotten very far with middle names.
We really like [name]Stanley[/name] for a boy, and it’s a family name with great meaning too, so it’s almost a shoe-in.
But what about a middle name?
Our last name is [name]Foy[/name].
I’m considering [name]Atticus[/name], a name I’ve always liked but that DH didn’t want to use as a first name with our other kids.
So, [name]Stanley[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] [name]Foy[/name]…
but would like other suggestions too if you’ve got them. I think it ought to be three or more syllables, but not necessarily. We’re also open to more than one middle name.
Congrats! I really like the name [name]Stanley[/name] [name]Foy[/name], but I’m not a fan of [name]Atticus[/name]. It seems like the kind of name that will only be used for a few years and will permanently date the name. I love the sound of an A____ middle name, but what about:
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Abbot[/name]
[name]Augustus[/name] (could have a bit of an [name]Atticus[/name]-like spike actually)
[name]Arnold[/name] (quirky old, kind of like [name]Stanley[/name])
[name]Albert[/name]
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Adam[/name]
If you like the “s” ending, and how it blends with [name]Foy[/name], what about:
[name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Jonas[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name] (the three-syllable sound of [name]Atticus[/name])
[name]James[/name]
[name]Curtis[/name]
For the record, I do think [name]Stanley[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] [name]Foy[/name] has a good sound to it if you don’t mind the potential trendiness.
