Middle name help!

We are expecting our baby girl in less than 3 weeks. Her first name will be [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] “[name_f]Hattie[/name_f]”, but we don’t have a middle name yet. We have a few options, but none seems just right yet. Our son has 2 middle names (both of our dads’ names), and we would like to honor at least my mom by including part of her name ([name_f]Susan[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]), but I would also like to honor my grandma ([name_f]Betty[/name_f]) if possible. My name is [name_f]Elyse[/name_f], so we’ve thought of including that as well. Here are some ideas we’ve had:
[name_f]Annelyse[/name_f]
Annebeth
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] (or [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) (both my name and my grandma’s name are derived from [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f])
Does anyone have any other suggestions about how we can incorporate these names into a middle name?? My husband doesn’t love variations of [name_f]Susan[/name_f], but you can throw those out as well! We have a 1 syllable last name. Any help is so appreciated!

I was going t suggest [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]? That would be a single name combining them. I think both should lovely with your daughters name.

[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the idea and sound of [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Annelyse[/name_f]. I’d spell it [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] or [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]—the names you’re honoring are still clearly there in the pronunciation—but that’s just a personal preference. Since it’s in the middle spot, I imagine that spelling won’t become an issue very often.

Other ideas:

[name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f] – might be a stretch, but it’s a diminutive of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and [name_f]Susan[/name_f] means “lily”
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] or [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Bett[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]

I would love to see the name [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] on a little girl! If you want to honor your grandma [name_f]Betty[/name_f], you could add the name [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Bettina[/name_f], or [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] as a second middle. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] is adorable and has great flow!

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] or [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Suzannah[/name_f]

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]/[name_f]Suzannah[/name_f] for your mom [name_f]Susan[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for you and your grandmother [name_f]Betty[/name_f] (most Bettys I know are Elizabeths and [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] to me is similar.)

This way you maximize your middle name spots.

I do like the suggestion of [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] as well. Maybe [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]?
