What do you prefer for a middle name

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_u]Scott[/name_u]
Both are names honoring family, but we already have a daughter with the middle name [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. Hubs likes [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and thinks it’ll be nice for our girls to share a middle name, but I’m thinking I like [name_u]Scott[/name_u].
Thoughts?
I would use [name_u]Scott[/name_u] in this case!
If you’ve already used [name_u]Jean[/name_u], I vote [name_u]Scott[/name_u]!
[name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe [name_u]Scout[/name_u], for a slightly more feminine twist? Plus [name_u]Scout[/name_u] from To Kill a Mockingbird has the full name [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], so there would be that subtle connection with her big sister’s name too.
I like them both, but [name_u]Scott[/name_u] (or Scout!) might be a good way to add more family names in that haven’t been used yet

I would definitely use [name_u]Scott[/name_u]. I’m not a big fan of sharing names with family. There are so many names out there I’d much rather give all of my kids different names than do repeats. Plus then you get to honor someone new who you haven’t gotten to before.
[name_u]Scott[/name_u], unless you would like all of your future kids to have the middle name [name_u]Jean[/name_u].

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] is fantastic, and I love that both of your middle names options have such special meaning to you! I do prefer the flow of [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but I think in your shoes I’d go with [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_u]Scott[/name_u] to avoid repeating. Although if your daughter is old enough to give her opinion and she’s excited about the idea of sharing a middle name with her little sister, it could be a sweet connection! 
I would use [name_u]Scott[/name_u]. I like the idea of [name_u]Scout[/name_u] - a reference both to [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and subtly to [name_u]Jean[/name_u] as has been said.
I like [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_u]Scott[/name_u]! Especially if you already have a daughter who has a middle name of [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. I think it’s nice them both to have their own separate middle names and identity.
I would not use [name_u]Jean[/name_u], since this is already her sister’s middle name. If your husband is really set on the two of them sharing that connection, perhaps a variation of the name would work? [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is itself a [name_u]French[/name_u] variation of [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] sounds lovely, has a connection to her sister, but without being repetitive.

I know [name_u]Scott[/name_u] has a family connection for you, and I want to love it for that reason - I think I’m just leery of the toilet paper brand. I really love others’ suggestion of [name_u]Scout[/name_u] to feminize the name a little and still pull in that [name_u]Jean[/name_u] connection!
