My husband’s mom’s maiden name is [name]McCoy[/name]… like the Hatfield versus [name]McCoy[/name] rivalry. We want to honor her by naming our son [name]Everett[/name] [name]McCoy[/name]. The last name is [name]Gordon[/name]. The reason I think I’m okay with this is that [name]Everett[/name] is my number one choice and my husband agreed to it without putting up a fight. He also agrees with my girl’s name [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Kay[/name]. I can’t believe how easy it’s been so I want to be supportive. At the same time, I want to make sure this name works.
I keep thinking of “The Real [name]McCoy[/name]”… and that [name]McCoy[/name] sounds a little ghetto by itself. Then again, we’ve laughed that [name]Everett[/name] [name]McCoy[/name] sounds like a cowboy’s name. I’m sure I’m just reading into it but I need your opinions. Is [name]McCoy[/name] useable?
Thanks!
I personally love [name]McCoy[/name]! It is a star trek name.
I think it is really cool. It fits in with the “mc” name trend so anyone who hears it won’t be shocked or horrified or anything. lol I think you should go for it.
[name]McCoy[/name] has been on my FN list for boys before, so obviously I like it
I know nothing about [name]Star[/name] Trek… is someone named [name]McCoy[/name] in the series? And is there a Mc trend happening? I wasn’t aware!
yes… and yes. lol hope that doesn’t turn you off. [name]McCoy[/name] is from the old star trek series and is in the 2009 movie, and will be in the new movie as well.
[name]McCoy[/name] is an awesome middle name choice. I love that it’s his grandmother’s maiden name.
[name]Everett[/name] [name]McCoy[/name] is quite handsome; it does have that rugged cowboy vibe to it. [name]Love[/name] it!
