Middle name needed for girl twin

I am pregnant with twins. A boy and a girl. We have pretty much decided on our boys name. It was super easy. My partners family has the tradition of the first son being called [name_u]James[/name_u]. Our sons middle name will be [name_m]Edward[/name_m] after my grandfather who I was super close too until he passed away a few years ago. We might add another name so he would have two middle names but we want to decide on our girls name first.

For our daughter her name is going to be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as that is the name we love the most from the names on both our lists. Now for middle names we want to honour to many people.

[name_f]Honour[/name_f] names include…
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Katie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Joanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Caitlin[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

These are the actual names. We can’t decide if a variant would be an honour name or not. Thoughts on this?

Thoughts and opinions needed.

Thanks all.

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] would be really cute.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] & [name_u]James[/name_u] are such adorable twin names!

It’s up to you whether you use an honour name or a variant of it. For me it would probably depend on how much I want to honour that person, and how well the names sound together.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] would be my choices out of your list.

Other suggestions:

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] - to honour [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Katrin[/name_f] - for [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katie[/name_f], and [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u] are a lovely choice. I really like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and if you decide to give them two middles each, my favourites would be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]/[name_f]Jane[/name_f].

I think the intent is most important. If you intend a name to honor someone, then it’s an honor name.

I really love:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]

I also love the suggestion of using [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a second middle.
