Middle name nickname?

What’s the community consensus on calling your child by a nickname of their middle name?

Here’s our situation:
We are pretty much set on [name_f]Siena[/name_f] [name_f]Dolores[/name_f]. I don’t love [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], but it’s a very meaningful name for my family. I [name_f]DO[/name_f] like the nickname [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. And obviously I like [name_f]Siena[/name_f], although my husband is lukewarm on it.

Wdyt of “[name_f]Siena[/name_f] [name_f]Dolores[/name_f],” using nickname [name_f]Lola[/name_f]? [name_f]Siena[/name_f] for more formal situations / resumes.

It would give us “[name_f]Lola[/name_f],” which is the name we agree on. But it wouldn’t saddle her with [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] as a first name, or the eternally cutesy [name_f]Lola[/name_f] as her formal name.

Am I overthinking? (Yes…!)
