I’m having a hard time coming up with a good first name option for the middle name we want - [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] (named after a relative).
I asked in a post a while back about [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], or [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], but I just can’t quite like those. And I thought the people that pointed out that two old fashioned names don’t always go well together had a good point. So I’m looking for something a little different.
I don’t love most “trendy” names - not sure if that’s really the way to describe it, but a certain type of name. And for some reason I tend to dislike names that end in a “y”, or “ie”. So, examples of names I don’t care for - [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_f]Zoey[/name_f], [name_f]McKenna[/name_f], [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f].
What about [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? I know that’s getting into old fashioned territory again, but I like the nickname [name_f]Toria[/name_f].
I also kind of like [name_f]Ava[/name_f], but I want it to be long for something, and I don’t like any of the longer options. [name_f]Eva[/name_f], similar problem.
Any other ideas?
I think most old fashioned names do go nicely together, it just depends on the sounds in each. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] are lovely!
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]! I also don’t think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] needs a longer name. I have [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] on my list.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Aveline[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
Avella [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]!
For [name_f]Ava[/name_f] there’s [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], [name_f]Aviana[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], and [name_f]Avis[/name_f]
For [name_f]Eva[/name_f] there’s [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evadne[/name_f], [name_f]Evanna[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Evaline[/name_f]/[name_f]Evalina[/name_f], Evianna
I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]!
I adore what a previous poster said about: [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]! Classy name
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
