First off I love the name [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. I have just come across the spelling [name_f]Sofie[/name_f] in another thread and I quite like the uniqueness of the spelling, but at the same time the spelling has a history of use from what I can find out about the spelling. So which spelling do you like best [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sofie[/name_f]?
I am also looking for some middle name ideas for the first name [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofie[/name_f]. I have no criteria for names except no word or flower names and the name must have a history of use.
My best friend spells her name [name_f]Sofi[/name_f] just to throw another in the mix. I would prefer [name_f]Sofi[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sofie[/name_f] looks kinda funky to me, but maybe just cause I’m not used to it
I prefer the spelling [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], but our family has a history of Sophies and Sophias, so I might be biased there! <3
For middle names:

Gwen (or Gwendolyn with it’s many variations for a longer version)
Mary
Fiona
Nova

Taylor
I much prefer [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], since it’s more traditional in English-speaking countries. If you’re in a country where the [name_f]Sofie[/name_f] spelling is more common, though, you should use that one. Whichever one requires less spelling out wherever you are is generally best.
I personally prefer [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. For some reason it just looks more aesthetically appealing with the “ph” spelling. I suppose it also depends on whether you’d prefer going with the most common “safer” spelling. I know I’ve only come across the name spelled [name_f]Sofie[/name_f] once in my life and it was definitely an eyebrow raiser, albeit not in a bad way.
