Thanks, everyone!
@hkelsi - ha, that is my concern with the name! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is my fourth favorite girls’ name ([name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Amélie [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-something? I’m so torn!), and if I would use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] at all, it’s very likely that I’d use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] as a FN before I’d get a chance to do [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] anything. But let’s face it, my list is so long at this point that I very likely wouldn’t use all the options, anyway, and have started recycling favorite names (here’s to looking at you, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]!). [name_f]Violet[/name_f] has family significance, though, so I’m more than willing to see family names in a different light. I only have so many family names I can use (even with my rather large family), and the list of family members I want to honor is infinitely smaller than my list of names I would love to use, so there’s generally some repetition.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] has some special ties to both my mom and grandma, so with those ties, I am sort of willing to have it several places on my list, much like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are. And I guess whenever I use one of them, it takes it out of consideration for the others, but for now I have [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I look at [name_f]Violet[/name_f] sort of the same way, although as soon as I use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (which, let’s face it, if I had any say in it at all, she’d be [name_f]Violet[/name_f] _____ _____ haha).
@mousehouse7 - [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] is adorable! I’ve loved her for years, although I’m generally not a huge [name_f]Anna[/name_f] fan. I wouldn’t be opposed to [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] “[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f]” or [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]/[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]/____ [name_f]Kate[/name_f] nn [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I found [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] because I’ve been loving [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and wanted a fuller name for her, so if anything, she’d probably be [name_f]Annie[/name_f], predominantly, but if I used [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as a MN for [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f], I could see me calling her [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] occasionally, too! Brilliant suggestion, thank you.
I do love [name_f]Adele[/name_f], but she’s another FN on my short list, and would rather not repeat.
@c@29 - [name_f]Helene[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] caught my eye from your suggestions! I’m not sure about them with [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f], but how did you know I’ve been crushing on [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]?!
I’m torn between [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], or [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] for the [name_f]Ella[/name_f] spot on my list, so I’ll probably hold off on [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] (plus, it’s very vowel-heavy, even though it is gorgeous!) for now, but I’ll probably come back to [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] in a couple days.
I’m starting to consider [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f], too, especially after reading @emilyandy’s post. I had forgotten how I had wanted to use [name_f]Briar[/name_f] as a middle, and I’m wondering if [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] works? WDYT? I sort of like the idea of [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], too. Or [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f] [something] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f]? I’ve really been wanting to add [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] to my list, but I haven’t been able to find the right spot. le sigh.
