Basil is becoming more endearing to me, and I think that the ‘right’ middle name might seal the deal. These are my suggestions, DH says he’ll come up with some (we’ll see).

Bit of background:
- Our surname is a spelling of Averie.
- We’re British so Basil is pronounced Bah-zil.
- Nye is a name I just really like, and a nod to the found of the NHS which is an organisation near and dear to us.
- Colin was my grandfather’s name and it would be nice to use a family name/none of my other cousins have used it which I often think is a shame, it’s not my favourite name of the bunch as a stand alone though.
- Ivo, a name I encountered fairly recently and really love. Not sure it works with our surname though.
- Oren, just another name I love. Slight perk that it would be useable as a name in Japan (DH and I are learning Japanese and plan to take the children, but are not Japanese ourselves and have no intention of living there).
- Evander, one I’ve liked for a while but I do wonder if it’s a bit ‘much’ compared to our other choices/general more minimalist taste.
- Basil Nye
- Basil Colin
- Basil Ivo
- Basil Oren
- Basil Evander
