So i’ve found a few middles i like just want your opinion on which you like best … and feel free to give others you think would suit the name [name]Dahlia[/name] ? [name]Ellis[/name] :)(last names [name]Ellis[/name])
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] are very pretty! My first though when I saw the title was [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Eve[/name], don’t know if you like alliteration though.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Mae[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] sound better to with your last name [name]Ellis[/name].
I dislike [name]Austyn[/name], [name]Raquel[/name], [name]Alivia[/name] ([name]Olivia[/name] would be fine), and [name]Jaden[/name].
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Ellis[/name] is way too L heabvy, as is [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Ariel[/name] [name]Ellis[/name].
I want to like [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] [name]Ellis[/name] but [name]Wren[/name] and [name]Ellis[/name] smush together too much for me but that might not bother you.
[name]Nevaeh[/name] is truly awful, and actually one of the most disliked names on here and probably in general so I suggest you avoid this.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]! I love that it’s a connection to you. My other suggestion is unusual but I’ll put it out there. [name]Dahlia[/name] Song. I think the meaning of your first name ties to singing and a one-syllable name is nice for 3-1-2 flow with your last name. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] would also be good for that flow and [name]Mae[/name] is historically a nickname for [name]Mary[/name], a relative of [name]Marie[/name]. So to sum up and add more input:
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] - great!
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] - great!
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - quite like
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Alivia[/name] - [name]Alivia[/name] looks misspelled. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] is a lot of plant. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Liv[/name] could be cool!
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Jaden[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] - [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Jade[/name] would be nice. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Jaden[/name] is OK but [name]Jaden[/name] is very masculine. [name]Jaden[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] feels strange. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] on its own is nice.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Austyn[/name] - I’d be fine with [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Austin[/name], if you want to make [name]Austin[/name] more feminine I find [name]Austen[/name] more timeless - like the author [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name]. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Auden[/name] is another nice option that’s kind of similar. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]August[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Augustine[/name], all nice too. But while I can’t fundamentally fight [name]Austyn[/name] (it’s in the middle and I have a nearly-anything-goes attitude), I do think the -y names are going to be heavily date-able to this point of time in the future.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] - I agree that this doesn’t flow all that great with your last name, but it’s a perfectly fine combo.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Ariel[/name] - Same as above
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Raquel[/name] - same as above.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Nevaeh[/name] ( nah - vey ) - I like the sound of [name]Nevaeh[/name], in all honesty. BUT it is the exact opposite of timeless, it is heavily tied to this point in time and history and I don’t think it will age well. I’d highly recommend alternatives like [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Haven[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Heaven[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Nova[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Neve[/name]. While not all of these are really my style, I think they’lll age better with her.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] - quite nice!
I’m also having a very tough time coming up with a middle name for [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]. I’d like a name with a Biblical connection, as my 2 oldest daughters have middle names from the Bible ([name_f]Naomi[/name_f] & [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] are their middle names). Our last name is 1 syllable, so a middle names with 2-3 syllables sound better, and no names that end with and “a” or “ah” because they sound repetitive when following [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]. Biblical connection preferred but not required.
Here’s the ideas I’ve had so far, but nothing sounds quite “perfect” to me:
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_u]Genesis[/name_u]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f]
I like
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] - fave.
I also like a lot of the suggestions so far - [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (which works even better with the prn dah-lee-ah than day-lee-ah…?), [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]…
