My second choice would be [name]August[/name] [name]Phillip[/name]. With this spelling it would have been my first choice but [name]Phyllip[/name] doesn’t feel right. I don’t think the y makes it feel more like an honoring than [name]Phillip[/name] does. [name]Phyllis[/name] = foliage the closest I can think of is [name]Phyllon[/name] = leaf.
[name]August[/name] [name]Phyllon[/name] would have definitely gotten my vote! (It would feel like a much more direct way to honor a [name]Phyllis[/name].)
[name]August[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] feels a bit repetitive with the bit open Au- O- vowel sounds.
[name]August[/name] [name]Jaq[/name]/[name]Jack[/name] doesn’t feel quite as harmonious as the other options.
I love the name [name]August[/name] btw, it is my top boy name right now.

[name]August[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] starts with the same vowel sound and I don’t care for it. I would have loved [name]August[/name] [name]Phillip[/name], but I can’t stand it spelled with a Y, even if it is to honor someone.
[name]August[/name] [name]Wesley[/name] is my favorite. [name]Phillip[/name] honors [name]Phyllis[/name] just fine; there’s no need to misspell it.
I voted for [name]August[/name] [name]Wesley[/name] but I also think [name]August[/name] [name]Jack[/name] is nice.
We have an [name]Augustus[/name] [name]Jack[/name], so I think [name]August[/name] [name]Jack[/name] is a great combination!
Hsort - we wanted to call [name]Augustus[/name] [name]Augie[/name] but thanks to the 2 year old, he quickly became [name]Gus[/name] (or [name]Gussie[/name])! Jealous of your [name]Augie[/name]!
Pyllip is a bit odd, but I like your reasoning behind it.

I definitely like [name]August[/name] [name]Jack[/name] the best. (I don’t think the alternate spelling of [name]Phyllip[/name] is worth it. [name]Phillip[/name] as a mn would be my second choice, but [name]Phyllip[/name] (while based on a very nice sentiment) would make an otherwise fabulous, distinguished name look odd and somewhat goofed up.
