Middle names for 'Jorja' (Georgia)

I have recently joined here, as names are a topic where my partner who is usually happy to say “whatever you want baby” has very strong opinions!

Although not married and no children yet, for girls we have agreed on [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Frances[/name] for a girl ([name]Hannah[/name] being his favourite name, [name]Frances[/name] being a family name) and [name]Jorja[/name] (his choice of spelling, which has taken me a long time to warm to).

I can’t find a middle name that I like with [name]Jorja[/name].

Suggestions? I like a broad range of names, however he seems more ‘classic’ with his name choices (ie. he wouldn’t let me dream of putting [name]Imogen[/name] on a potential list, as he said it sounds like a stripper name!)

Surname starts with a B and ends with an -in sound.

Suggestions appreciated!

I’m not great at middle name combos, but wanted to let you know that I really love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Frances[/name] ([name]Frances[/name] is a family name for us as well…what a fantastic name). I also want to add that I would encourage you not to warm up to the spelling [name]Jorja[/name]. It changes the name entirely and looks really bad. Sticking with the classic spelling is worth the fight (I know you didn’t ask about this, but I couldn’t help myself…sorry).

Best of luck!

No need to apologize! I wasn’t sold on the name, but then when I was travelling I met a girl named [name]Jorja[/name], and I have sort of warmed to it. That said, it is our second girls name, and if we have a boy it won’t be used, as we only want 2 kids (and even thought some days I say I want 2 girls, a girl and a boy would be nice!). I will keep in mind to fight him on it

And thanks for the compliment on [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Frances[/name]. [name]Frances[/name] is a middle name that goes back 4 generations in my family, and even though as a youngster I said I’d never pass it on, I really love it with [name]Hannah[/name] and have been happy with it for over 3 years now, so I think it has definitely stuck!

Here are a few that work with [name]Jorja[/name]:

[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Elise[/name]

I’d [name]Say[/name] [name]Jorja[/name] [name]Mae[/name] but there is [name]Georgia[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Jagger[/name]… a model with very interesting two front teeth.

[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Jorja[/name] [name]Grace[/name] ([name]Hannah[/name] means grace, so it kind of ties them together that way) are cute, but they don’t seem to fit well with [name]Hannah[/name]. Actually I don’t think [name]Jorja[/name] fits well next to [name]Hannah[/name] at all. [name]Hannah[/name] is very classic and sweet, and [name]Jorja[/name] is sweet yet spunky. Since [name]Frances[/name] has a vintage, older feel to it, I’d suggest pairing [name]Jorja[/name] with something that gives off the same feel as [name]Francis[/name], such as [name]Madeline[/name] or something like that. Or even use another family name! I also think [name]Georgia[/name] looks better next to [name]Hannah[/name].

Suggestions:

[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Emma[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Lou[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Irene[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Tess[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Bree[/name]/[name]Brianne[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] Bellarose
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Summer[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
[name]Jorja[/name] [name]Skye[/name]

But what I’d really recommend, if you’re dead set on [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Frances[/name], is to find a first name to compliment [name]Hannah[/name] (i.e. [name]Leah[/name]) and pair it with [name]Jorja[/name] or even [name]Georgia[/name] (as it fits better with [name]Frances[/name]) instead.

Some of my suggestions:

[name]Milena[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Heather[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Kimberly[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Amber[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Brianna[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Autumn[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Claire[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]

Oh, [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Frances[/name] is just lovely! I’m very bad at suggestions so I won’t make any but I couldn’t resist saying something. Good luck!

Ooooh liviajoan - I love [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]! And I also like [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. And [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Kate[/name]!

The more people say the dislike [name]Jorja[/name], the more I begin to dislike the spelling (love the name) too. Eek. Luckily still at least a few years off on that one!

[name]Grace[/name] is a name I love, but my sister recently used it in her daughters name (it’s also a family name) so it’s out.

Thanks for giving me lots to think about!

I think [name]Georgia[/name] sounds great with pretty much every middle name in here.

Because of the way [name]Jorge[/name] is pronounced (hor-hay), I see “[name]Jorja[/name]” and immediately pronounce it “hor-ha” in my mind.

My daughter’s name is [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Faith[/name].
I love it.

I despise the spelling of [name]Jorja[/name]. If you encounter any hispanics, or even people who speak Spanish, they will undoubtedly say “HORE HA”

Exactly this.

I would suggest that you NEVER grow used to the spelling Jorga. WTF? It’s awful. As a second grade teacher, I cringe when I see creatively spelled names. I automatically assume the parents are idiots and dread having to deal with them. Time and time again, I am proven correct with these assumptions. [name]Georgia[/name] is a much better and correct spelling!!

If you can’t spell a name correctly, choose another name.

I know I’m a little late to the conversation here, but I had my 1st baby in February…we named her Jorgia Harper…I LOVE IT, and one reason is because it’s unique…the regular spelling of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is much more common, and mine and my husband’s name start with J’s too… and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is my maiden name so I wanted to use that for her middle name…
Anyway, don’t stress about it… whatever you name your child is totally up to you…follow your heart…it’s something you’ll just kinda know when you know…mother’s instinct I guess!

I totally agree. It’s not phoentically intuitive for a large percentage of folks, Spanish speaking. hor-ha would be pronounced. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is beautiful and classic. [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] is also beautiful.
