Middle Names for Livian

So my husband and I are struggling with a middle name we like for Livian. We would like it to be one or two syllables, and I love it when first and middle names have either consonance or alliteration. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!

I’ve never seen Livian before. Was it supposed to be [name]Livia[/name] or Liviana, or is Livian correct?
Some short L names for alliteration:
[name]Lark[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Leda[/name]
[name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Lorna[/name]
[name]Louise[/name]
Lumen
Lumi
[name]Luna[/name]
[name]Lux[/name]
[name]Luz[/name]
[name]Lynwen[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name]
[name]Lyric[/name]

I like [name]Lark[/name] the most with Livian (or the others) ^^

Ooh, Livian [name]Lark[/name], Livian [name]Lux[/name], and Livian Lumi are all very cool.

Livian [name]Verity[/name]
Livian [name]Elinor[/name] / Livian [name]Eleanor[/name]
Livian [name]Annika[/name]
Livian [name]Chloe[/name]
Livian [name]Eloise[/name]
Livian [name]Penelope[/name]
Livian [name]Clara[/name]
Livian [name]Annora[/name]
Livian [name]Vesper[/name]
Livian [name]Elle[/name]
Livian [name]Adeline[/name]
Livian [name]Mariel[/name]
Livian [name]Avery[/name]
Livian [name]Sarai[/name]
Livian [name]Isannah[/name]
Livian [name]Calla[/name]
Livian [name]Averil[/name]
Livian [name]Stella[/name]
Livian [name]Loretta[/name]
Livian [name]Eluned[/name]
Livian [name]Lys[/name]

I’ve also never heard of Livian before, but I see that it is a [name]Shakespeare[/name] name… it sounds to me like [name]Vivian[/name], one of my favorite names and one on our shortlist, but I am not sure about Livian because the first thing thing that comes to mind for me when I hear it is the word “livid,” which means anger or fury. Because this is my first association, I’m going to suggest considering similar names, like [name]Vivian[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Olive[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], or [name]Lavinia[/name]. ([name]Lavinia[/name] is also Shakespearean!) I also like the other poster’s suggestions of [name]Livia[/name] or Liviana.

In any case, for middle names, I like [name]Lark[/name] as well, as the previous poster suggested, or perhaps something with a soft ending to balance Livian. So:

Livian [name]Lark[/name]
Livian [name]Louisa[/name]
Livian [name]Leonora[/name]
Livian [name]Lydia[/name]
Livian [name]Leonie[/name]
Livian [name]Lissette[/name]

I like Livian a lot! I know someone who used Livienne (this spelling), and I have to say, I really love that! I think it’s really cool. I like Livienne [name]Lark[/name]/Livian [name]Lark[/name], or maybe Livian [name]Elora[/name]/Livian [name]Laura[/name]/Livian [name]Lorelei[/name]. I also like the suggestion of Livian [name]Lux[/name]! Or Livian [name]Lucy[/name] would be cute, too.

I like @considering’s suggestions of [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Olive[/name], and [name]Olivia[/name], too. My first idea for consonance would be Livian [name]Violet[/name] or Livian [name]Verity[/name]. I really like Livian [name]Verity[/name]/Livienne [name]Verity[/name], actually.

Great suggestions, everyone. Thank you. @dearest, yes, I truly meant Livian, not Liviana. Our other daughter’s name already ends in a soft “a” and although I like Liviana, I don’t think it flows as nicely with her name.

What are your thoughts on Livian [name]Laila[/name] or Livian [name]Linnea[/name]?

I think going with an “L” middle name for Livian is a bit much (personally). Considering Livian is three syllables, it’d be best to choose a name that’s one or two syllables long.

What about Livian [name]Vera[/name]? I like ashthedreamer’s suggestion of Livian [name]Violet[/name], too.

I’ve never heard of it which is beginning to be a rare occurence. I like Livian
(And I thought it would be bad if it just was a typo!)

Livian [name]Laila[/name] and Livian [name]Linnea[/name] are a little too soft for me. You’re not really intorducing any new sounds with the middle name, and I personally prefer middles to branch out a bit from the first name. This is a pet peeve of mine though, repetitive sounds in names, especially the very soft and lilting ones like L-N-I-V-M-A seem to bother me more than most people

I like Livian as well.

Livian [name]Paz[/name]
Livian [name]Therese[/name]
Livian [name]May[/name]
Livian [name]Maris[/name]
Livian [name]Marlowe[/name]
Livian [name]Grey[/name]
Livian [name]Briar[/name]
Livian [name]Brisa[/name]
