[name]Hi[/name] guys! I’m new here. I’m currently 36w4d with my second daughter. My 3 year old is [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Makenzie[/name]. I think I’ve finally decided on a first name for this new little girl, but I’m having trouble coming up with a middle name. If we were going to have a boy, we were going to name him [name]Noah[/name] [name]Adam[/name], so I think [name]Noelle[/name] reflects that pretty well, at least for me. My late grandmother’s name was [name]Karen[/name], and I want to reflect that in her middle name if possible, but I don’t really like [name]Karen[/name]. I found [name]Koren[/name], and was wondering if that sounded good to you name experts and if you guys would know of any other spelling variations I could use for it. Other middle name suggestions are welcomed!
[name]Noelle[/name] is very pretty! I think [name]Autumn[/name] and [name]Noelle[/name] are really great for sisters.
My mom’s a [name]Karen[/name], and I really don’t want to use [name]Karen[/name] itself, haha, so I can relate. My two favorite ways to honor her are [name]Wren[/name] (which would be the last syllable of her name, essentially) and [name]Kate[/name] (as [name]Karen[/name] is a form of [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name]). I’ve also considered names that mean “pure” like [name]Karen[/name] does (like [name]Agnes[/name]/[name]Agatha[/name]). I think [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Agatha[/name], etc. would all be very pretty. I think you could do [name]Karina[/name]/[name]Carina[/name], too, [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karina[/name] would be pretty, and is obviously pretty close to [name]Karen[/name]. I think [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karina[/name] would probably be my favorite, next to big sister [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Makenzie[/name]. They just seem to go together, to me.
I love your boys’ pick, btw–I have a great-great-great (or something or other, haha) uncle named [name]Noah[/name] [name]Adam[/name]!
Good luck!
[name]Autumn[/name] & [name]Noelle[/name] make a lovely sib-set! [name]Koren[/name] is NMS, but I can see what you are trying to do. [name]Makenzie[/name] is modern and unisex/surnamey, so [name]Koren[/name] does work well with [name]Makenzie[/name] for the same reasons. I would also suggest [name]Keren[/name], [name]Karis[/name]. & [name]Karson[/name] as alternatives to [name]Karen[/name]/[name]Koren[/name].x
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] would be gorgeous. Other ideas:
[name]Kara[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karina[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karlie[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Maren[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Carissa[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Charisma[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
I also thought of [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. I think [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karina[/name] would be a great choice and would sound great with your other daughter.
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kara[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kerenza[/name]/[name]Kerensa[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karenna[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kyra[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kora[/name]
What about [name]Aren[/name]? or [name]Erin[/name]?
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Aren[/name] or [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Erin[/name] has a pleasing sound a think if you don’t mind the flowing, running together–I think it can be nice with some names.
Or you could go with something that has the same meaning as [name]Karen[/name] “pure” like [name]Katrina[/name] - see here
[name]Noelle[/name] is my middle name and I have always loved having it as a name.
I love the suggestions of [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karina[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Maren[/name], [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karis[/name], and [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Corrine[/name].
I also really like the ideas of
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kieran[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] Karenina
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Katherina[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Karoline[/name]
Or maybe just use a K name?
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kristine[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kadence[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Kassandra[/name]
I like so many of these! Thank you guys for the help. My husband is currently at work and I’ve been bombarding him with texts with all of your ideas. Right now, I think that I’m close to deciding on [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. He really liked [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], so HOPEFULLY he will be game for this one. I really wish I could have convinced him on something like [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Corinne[/name], but when I told him, he treated me as if I were speaking an alien language. Wish me luck! I’ll let you guys know what we decide upon.
I find that [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Koren[/name] is very gorgeous, something you don’t see a lot!
If you don’t like [name]Karen[/name], then you could always go for [name]Kathleen[/name], [name]Kathy[/name], [name]Karey[/name] ([name]Carey[/name]), [name]Camille[/name], that’s all I can really come up with…
Well, congrats!
