Thanks everyone for commenting and voting in my previous posts. I think my husband and I have settled on [name_u]Story[/name_u] for our baby girl due [name_u]December[/name_u]. (I know it’s not everyones cup of tea). I am looking for a middle name now.
I think I like [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] from your list. The only problem I see with middle names for [name_u]Story[/name_u] is you may want to stay away from characters from a story, otherwise it’s almost too over the top. [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] sounds lovely, but [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is a pretty famous fictional character. I love [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], not sure how I feel about the alliteration though. I’d have to mull it over for a bit.
[name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is gorgeous, btw.
Thanks for the opinions. I love [name_m]French[/name_m] names and my husband is Greek so those are two groups of names to consider. I see what you mean about [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. Keep the suggestions coming!!
Thanks for the suggestions norameredith, I like [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]! Also, what are people’s thoughts on the name [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] with a nn of story and a shorter middle name?
I like [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], BUT… I wouldn’t name her that if you live in the northeast US and she might ever live in NYC. As you may or may not know, it’s a pretty well known section of Queens, and would sound kid of silly around here. (Like [name_m]Bronx[/name_m] or [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u].)
If you live elsewhere though, go for it! I like a few names that my British friends laugh at because they’re places to them. But in the US, they’re just names!
[name_f]Love[/name_f] the idea of [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] nn [name_u]Story[/name_u]. She just came off our list 2 days ago because we’re [name_u]West[/name_u] Coasters and [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], OR is pretty well known (it’s where The Goonies was filmed, and I’m pretty sure everyone in my generation grew up with it). If you don’t care that it’s a place name, then YES. Absolutely, [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] and [name_u]Ever[/name_u] work so well. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] has [name_f]Evie[/name_f] to fall back on if she doesn’t want an out there name when she grows, and [name_u]Story[/name_u] has [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] to fall back on. Whimsical and cute.
To match a sibling name like [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], how about [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]? Or [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]? Keep the celestial theme going.
I don’t mind story at all and like the MN you have chosen. Something very classic will balance it well. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] come to mind also.
[name_u]Story[/name_u] is high high on my girls’ list! i absolutely adore [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. funny, [name_u]Ever[/name_u] is on my list as well, just for a boy! i love the sibling combo
[name_u]Ever[/name_u] and [name_u]Story[/name_u] are delicious. I love the name [name_f]Helena[/name_f] so much, but am uncertain about it being a proper match with [name_u]Story[/name_u].
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] & [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Vesta[/name_f] ([name_f]Vesta[/name_f] meaning fire-not as obvious as another sun or moon, etc.).
As far as the other names you have listed above…[name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] is alright even with the alliteration. Surname is not an ‘S’ is it
I love the lengthening of the name story to [name_f]Astoria[/name_f], an absolutely great idea!
Ideas for middle names:
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]/ Vespertine
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Circe[/name_f]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_f]Pandora[/name_f]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] [name_u]Lyric[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] is pretty but with your oldest named [name_u]Ever[/name_u], I think I would stick with [name_u]Story[/name_u] and celebrate the quirky, noun name path you are on.
Of your choices, I really like [name_f]Helena[/name_f] as it sounds beautiful and has has a similar meaning to your older daughters middle name.
