I’ve been staring at names for like 5 months now, and I’m due to have a baby girl in 3 months. I’d say we’re 99% certain on the first name [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]. The middle name combinations I’ve come up with that I really like so far are:
But my husband has the idea of incorporating his middle name in ([name_u]Lee[/name_u]). I don’t love the name [name_u]Lee[/name_u], but a few of the options I thought off were
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] (too country, but this is both of our middle names)
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Annalee[/name_f] (sounds too much like ‘anally’, but he kinda liked it)
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalee[/name_f] (even though I much prefer the spelling [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], this might be a compromise we could both take)
If you were to try to incorporate [name_u]Lee[/name_u], how would you do it?
If you didn’t incorporate [name_u]Lee[/name_u], what would you choose as a middle name for [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and was my first thought when reading the title while browsing the forum. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is still very very pretty.
I don’t think modifying names to fit the lee ending is going to fully please you, but you can go ahead and try.
I like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalee[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Coralee[/name_f]. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] could also work (pronounced [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-rah) if the sound is more important than the spelling.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my favourite. If you want to incorporate [name_u]Lee[/name_u] I’d go with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] out of your lists. Both lovely! I don’t like any of the [name_u]Lee[/name_u] combos, and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is over-used in the middle. I like the pp suggestion of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f] as a good way of incorporating [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. What about [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] - I think this one is just gorgeous!
Or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are better options than mishmashes of [name_u]Lee[/name_u] names.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (or Amelee, if it has to be spelt like lee)
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
I’m not a huge fan of the ‘lee’ ending for a middle name for [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]. I feel like it sounds too ‘e’ heavy at the endings, but I think [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] works well enough and I like the suggestions of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]/[name_f]Leonora[/name_f].
I love, love [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]! You have many more options if you go with the sound of [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and I think [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Annelie[/name_f] are very pretty. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely too.
