I love [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]. And before anyone say anything about this, yes, I also have [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] on my list. I don’t mind repeating similar names for a top 10 or 20. I am not currently expecting and when I do have children, I definitely won’t use them together.
I tend to love long and super feminine names, preferably unusual, or at least not too popular. And when I do use a rather popular name, I usually want to pair it with something more obscure. I am currently thinking about [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f] (or [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f]? What do you think about this?). The crazy witch connection from [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] does bother me, but as an astronomy lover, orion’s star connection also gives [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] a huge bonus point. However, I still want to hear more…
I favour names with whimsical quality, mythological, astronomical, (perhaps even medieval?), but I generally want to hear anything that you believe works as a middle for [name_f]Valentina[/name_f].
Also, how popular is [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]??? [name_m]How[/name_m] many [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] that you know in real life?
I don’t know anyone named [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]. I think it is a lovely choice with many options depending on a persons personality… Using the full name or [name_u]Val[/name_u] or [name_f]Tina[/name_f] or nicknames.
I also think [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] as a middle name (despite [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]) is fine. It is unique yet seems familiar due to the popularity of [name_f]Bella[/name_f] names and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]! I don’t know anyone with that name. Also, Bellatrix is beautiful and [name_u]Valentina[/name_u] [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f] is also lovely, even though I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f].
I don’t know any Valentinas personally but there was/is an actress called [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] who appeared in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. Would the name [name_f]Ondine[/name_f] or [name_f]Ondina[/name_f] go with [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]?
@paw thanks. I’ll call her [name_f]Valley[/name_f] ([name_f]Vallie[/name_f]?) and sometimes [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. @madlee thanks for the lovely list! I like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] (I prefer this spelling), [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Melisande[/name_f]. And [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f]… how can I never consider [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] before? Oh well. I also like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] but I prefer it as a mn for my [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] combo.
