I love this name and really want to use it but middle names are kinda tricky with a name this long. We’ll likely use NN [name_f]Fia[/name_f] or [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. Last name is 2 syllables, starts with a hard consonant and ends in an “ee” sound. Here’s what I’ve come up with thus far:
Ferdinanda [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_f]Basilia[/name_f] (I love the sound but I’m worried it’ll be way too much)
[name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_f]Honora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
The floral/botanical names are significant as my mother was an avid gardener and that holds a lot of importance in her memory/honoring her, but I have more names lines up for future children to potentially honor her this way ([name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_u]Fennel[/name_u], [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] for example) so it’s not essential as a middle, just a nice bonus. Mostly I’m looking for thoughts on the names I’ve listed but I’m open to suggestions! I’m not such a fan of more classic flower names like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], for the record.
Well, I love alliteration, so [name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_u]Fennel[/name_u] or [name_f]Ferdinanda[/name_f] [name_f]Freesia[/name_f] or something along those lines gets my vote!
I’d also recommend you consider [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as a nickname in honor of your garden-loving mother.
Thank you! I’m feeling a lot better about alliteration and seriously considering [name_u]Fennel[/name_u] now. I’d use [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as a nickname but my husband had a dog growing up named [name_f]Fern[/name_f] so I think that’s off the table sadly
