[name_f]My[/name_f] good friend asked me if I had any suggestions for her daughter. She’s planning on the name [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and she and her husband like [name_f]Ann[/name_f] for a middle. [name_f]My[/name_f] friend would prefer to combine the name to [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f], but she’s trying to get her husband on board. He’s been more open to the idea of a short middle, like [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], etc., but they haven’t hit on the right one yet. Any suggestions?
I keep suggesting the baby should be [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] (two flowers! it means “to sparkle”!), but I keep getting shot down. Haha.
I’d spell the name as [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] or [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] myself, I can’t help reading [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] as [name_f]Lil[/name_f] [name_m]Yann[/name_m] for some reason and I think little [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] would have to explain her name’s spelling all her life.
[name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] is lovely! And so is [name_f]Lilyann[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Some other (short) suggestions:
Thanks for the lovely suggestions! I think [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would all be darling.
I like the longer suggestions as well. Her other two girls have 2 3-syllable names, so I think something like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], and [name_f]Louise[/name_f], and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] would go great with her sibset. I’m suggesting them to her!
