Iam looking for a middle name for [name_f]Remember[/name_f] that doesnt feel like a sentence or a memorial like [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Josie[/name_u] for example.
My favorite is [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] but its too wordy.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: My favorites so far are:
Remember Ligeia
Remember Fleur
Remember Cosima
Remember Aurora
Remember Carina
Remember Isadore
Remember Oceane
Remember Blithe
Remember Felicity
I love many of your combos, [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] & [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Blithe[/name_f] could work?
Thank you so much for your suggestions, halfkoreangirl. I really appreciate the help! [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] are such romantic names! I love them!
Other middle names for [name_f]Remember[/name_f] are welcome too!
I think that with something like [name_f]Remember[/name_f] you need something that is not traditionally a name or is a very rare name or a name that is also a word. Otherwise it does sound a bit like a memorial.
[name_f]Remember[/name_f] is a word to me rather than a name so I whatever you add on as a middle still works as [name_f]Remember[/name_f]… a person or some thing. I really think it would be nice in the middle spot.
whitegardenia: Thanks for your help! Yeah maybe is better as a middle name. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] is better?
aquadoll: Thank you for your help! I love [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Saffron[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] & [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f].
Thank you so much @c@29! [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Carina[/name_f] is just adorable! I also love [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_m]Isadore[/name_m] & [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Vivianne[/name_f].
So, is [name_f]Remember[/name_f] better as a first or a middle name?
The problem with [name_f]Remember[/name_f] in the first spot is, that it will always sound like a sentence. [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], even just Remeber Lastname, will sound like somebody asks if you remember an [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or LastName.
As a middle name, it has the same effect [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] turns into “[name_f]Esme[/name_f], remember [name_m]Smith[/name_m]?” but it is a lot more wearable this way, as the child can choose if they like [name_f]Remember[/name_f] and want their middle name to be used or if they don’t, and rather have it only be their first and last name on (non official) documents. Also, hearing “[name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] the 5th of [name_u]November[/name_u]” might get old after a while, though I’m not sure if that would be an issue where you live?!
I would just love to see this strong Puritan name revived! That being said, [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] is absolutely lovely. We have friends who just named their baby girl [name_f]Edith[/name_f]. I don’t really have any new middle ideas for you (We’re struggling with middles ourselves, and baby was due two days ago), but I think some of the ideas you’ve already been given would work well. I especially like [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] and [name_f]Remember[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. HTH
c@29: Thank you for your help! I understand what you mean.
madehatter: Thanks! I really like [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] too.
opheliaflora: Thanks! I forget to tell that [name_f]Remember[/name_f] will be only a gp of mine since its unusuble in Greece. I get what you mean. This is my main conscern too.
titus245mama: Thanks! I prefer [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Remember[/name_f] at the moment too, though I absolutely adore [name_f]Remember[/name_f]'s nicknames Mem, [name_u]Remy[/name_u] & [name_f]Mimi[/name_f]. Best wishes for your birth. Iam sure you will pick a lovely name for your baby.
I think if you really like it (not my style) [name_f]Remember[/name_f] just fits so much better as a middle. Otherwise it sounds like a sentence to me.
@bellerose, that’s actually something I wanted to ask you a while back; if you plan on living in Greece with future kids, which names from you list are usable (translatable/pronouncable) in Greek and which names would you actually use of those (maybe they can be translated but maybe you don’t like them nearly as much in Greek; etc.)?
