What are your thoughts on name [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f]? (This is spelling variation of more well-known [name_f]Makayla[/name_f]. ) [name_f]Do[/name_f] you find this name dated? Is it still usable?
What about [name_f]Mishaila[/name_f]? This is another variation of the orignal [name_f]Micaela[/name_f]. What do you think of this? Does this sound like an attractive new form of [name_f]Makayla[/name_f] or does it sound dated?
If I read [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f] without your explanation, I’d be tempted to say Mi-[name_u]KAI[/name_u] (kye)-la, with the raising popularity of names like [name_u]Kai[/name_u] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. But actually I think that sounds nice!
Similarly I would read [name_f]Mishaila[/name_f] as Mi-SHY-la.
I definitely would choose [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f] over [name_f]Mishaila[/name_f]. However I really prefer [name_f]Micaela[/name_f] (my favourite), [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] or [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] :).
[name_f]Mishaila[/name_f] looks made up to be honest - sorry!
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] and all its variants are very overused at this point. [name_f]Mishaila[/name_f] feels like a [name_f]Michelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Sheila[/name_f] mashup and just a bit bland and mom-ish for that reason.
I don’t really like either to be honest. I think [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f]/[name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]/whatever is way, wayyyy overused, and there are so many variations of spelling that it just doesn’t seem like a simple option. [name_f]Mishaila[/name_f] seems unnecessarily confusing considering the popularity and many spellings of [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f]. If I had to choose one, it would probably be [name_f]Mikaila[/name_f] because it seems less confusing for a baby in the future
My favorite names like these are [name_f]Malala[/name_f] and [name_f]Mahala[/name_f]. They are fresher than [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] and her variant spellings and have the softer sounds that are trending now. Plus you get a [name_m]Noble[/name_m] [name_u]Peace[/name_u] Prize winner as a namesake if you go with [name_f]Malala[/name_f]!
