Elena! Sweet & elegant. I pronounce it eh-LEY-nuh or ELL-eh-nuh.
I pronounce Milena like mih-LEH-nuh
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]!
I pronounce them muh-LAY-nuh and uh-LAY-nuh.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]! [name_u]Light[/name_u], pretty and bubbly! I do like [name_f]Milena[/name_f] too!
I pronounce them ‘Eh-lay-nuh’ and ‘mih-lay-nuh’
I pronounce them eh-LAY-nah and mih-LAY-nah. I prefer the princessy sparkle of [name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] is my favourite… I would pronounce it Mill-eh-nah
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] is my favourite
I pronounce them as mi-LAY-nah and eh-LAY-nah
[name_f]Milena[/name_f].
mee-LEH-na and eh-LEH-na
I’d pronounce Elena as EL-eh-nah, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear eh-LAY-nah.
I know a Milena irl who’s from Czechia (the origin country of the name) who pronounces it MILL-eh-nah! I believe Czech names always have the stress on the first syllable, but I could be wrong.
Both are really lovely but I prefer Milena - unexpected, elegant, with sweet nicknames.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] is gorgeous!! I pronounce it eh-lay-nuh
I love [name_f]Milena[/name_f] as well, but pronounced mee-leh-nuh & I love the association with [name_m]Franz[/name_m] Kafka!!! so for that reason I’d choose [name_f]Milena[/name_f]
I love them both! I pronounce [name_f]Milena[/name_f] like Muh-LAY-nuh, and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] like ee-LAY-nuh. They’re both gorgeous names!
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]! So pretty
mee-leh-nah and el-eh-nah
I really enjoy the sound of both, but being a healthcare worker, for me [name_f]Milena[/name_f] is just a touch too close to [name_f]Melena[/name_f], which means blood in your stool .
I also knew a girl of Slavic origin with the name [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. It was pronounced MEE-leh-nuh.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] I say eh-LEH-nah.
milena, to me, is mih-leh-nah / mih-lay-nah interchangably
elena, to me, is ee-lay-nah when speaking the bit of spanish i know and eh-lay-nah when speaking english
my favorite is milena “elena”
[name_f]Milena[/name_f]! So pretty.
I’d pronounce it “mih-LAY-nah”.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] (El-ay-na) wins but it’s close. If [name_f]Milena[/name_f] were to go by [name_f]Mila[/name_f], that would override for me. So tough!
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] is too similar to melena for me. It’s a medical term so people outside of healthcare might not know, but it doesn’t have a nice meaning.
I pronounce [name_f]Elena[/name_f] as el-en-uh.
I much prefer [name_f]Elena[/name_f].
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] (eh-LAY-nuh)
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] (mee-LAY-nuh)
