Thoughts on [name]Milena[/name], probably with the nickname [name]Mila[/name]? Is it usable for a child who wouldn’t have any Russian/Eastern European descent?
I like [name]Milena[/name]! I think it could work for someone who isn’t Russian/Eastern European. Although for some reason, [name]Mila[/name] makes it even more Russian/Eastern European for me, though. I think [name]Millie[/name] or [name]Lena[/name] or [name]Mia[/name] makes it more just feminine, and not feminine-Russian, if that makes sense…
[name]Milena[/name] nn [name]Mila[/name] is [name]Mila[/name] Kunis full name so I could easily see it working.
[name]Milena[/name] was a long time love of mine and I endorse it highly. I love that others are seeing the beauty of it too. It has a lot of use throughout Europe including Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, [name]Russia[/name], Czech Republic, Poland, and [name]Italy[/name]. It is a place in [name]Sicily[/name] but was named in homage to the [name]Queen[/name] [name]Milena[/name] of Montenegro, the mother of the [name]Queen[/name] [name]Elena[/name], wife of [name]King[/name] [name]Victor[/name] [name]Emmanuel[/name] III of [name]Italy[/name]. Given [name]Milena[/name] “[name]Mila[/name]” Kunis’s popularity, I think most people wouldn’t think of it as odd on a young child.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Milena[/name], although it got knocked off our list when my husband’s cousin used it.
I love it.
I like this name a lot, and I think the full name and the nickname can be pulled off by just about anyone. Where I live there are many Miras of many different backgrounds. With [name]Maya[/name] it’s the same story. I think that [name]Mila[/name] and [name]Milena[/name] can fill the same role. They translate well to many cultures.
It’s OK, but I prefer [name]Melina[/name]. It means honey in Greek
I love it! I don’t think you need to be Russian or Eastern European at all, it’s a beautiful name for any girl. I love [name]Mila[/name], too.
I don’t like [name]Milena[/name]. I think it’s somewhat dull next to the more exotic [name]Mila[/name]. I could see [name]Mila[/name] on a girl with no Russian/Eastern European heritage.
