I’m expecting my first in [name]November[/name]. We like [name]Miles[/name] Lansing. What do you think? What sort of child/personality do you envision when you hear [name]Miles[/name] Lansing?
I love, love, love [name]Miles[/name]. I fell in love with the name when I took care of a young [name]Miles[/name] when I was a student at university. I imagine an intelligent, handsome, strong, sporty guy, who could be an introvert or a performer. That’s the brilliance of this name. Its handsome simplicity will fit a young, shaggy haired boy catching frogs in the creek or a physician doing a presentation to the hospital board of directors.
Please use [name]Miles[/name]!!!
[name]Miles[/name] Lansing is a great name! On it’s own [name]Miles[/name] sounds like the name of someone intelligent, creative and expressive. Combine it with a great last name like Lansing and it also makes the name feel like someone very polite, noble and justice-oriented. I envision an international justice lawyer fighting for the rights of the under represented. I can’t think of a name that goes better with the last name Lansing.
[name]Miles[/name] has been a crush of mine lately and I think I might add it to my list. I think a [name]Miles[/name] would be sporty and athletic, he would have dark hair and blue eyes and he would be quite popular. [name]Miles[/name] Lansing is a wonderful name!
Wow!! Thank you all so much! I also love the name (I suppose that’s obvious) but it’s wonderful to hear how much you berries love it, too! Wonderful!
I should have been more clear – Lansing is actually the middle name. My husband’s granddad’s (so my baby’s great granddad) first name was Lansing. The last name is Waddell (wah - dell, not waddle, haha), which is a bit tough for folks to pronounce sometimes, so I really like the simplicity of [name]Miles[/name] to go with it.
I love the name!!! [name]Miles[/name] Lansing Waddell sounds VERY handsome! Great choice!
I love SO many of your names! So your opinion is especially meaningful to me.
[name]Eloise[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Nora[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name] (or any variety really) are some of my favorite girls’ names! In fact, if we have a girl, we are thinking [name]Annika[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Vivienne[/name].
On the boys’ side, [name]Gideon[/name] was actually a top contender before we settled on [name]Miles[/name], and if I could only talk my husband into [name]Theodore[/name]… ![]()
Very distinguished. I love it!
I like it…but since you said you liked [name]Theodore[/name], but your DH was iffy about it, how about [name]Miles[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]?
I do like [name]Miles[/name] [name]Theodore[/name], but I actually like [name]Miles[/name] Lansing better, for us. Lansing is a family name and very meaningful to us. Plus, I really like the flow of [name]Miles[/name] Lansing.
[name]Miles[/name] Lansing sounds okay! Was just worried about the sounds that are in both names, eg. the letter l’s and s’s. When you finish saying [name]Miles[/name] then you are hit with another L sound of Lansing.
But i love the meaning behind it!
[name]Miles[/name] is nice but I don’t care for it with Lansing. I don’t like Lansing at all as a middle, actually, but it’s understandable as a middle for you since it’s a family name. I immediately think of the capital of Michigan, which really doesn’t do anything positive for me.
