We are expecting our first baby boy in [name_u]June[/name_u] 2014 and are trying to narrow down our name list and would love your help
At this point, our top two choices are [name_m]Miles[/name_m] (me) and [name_m]Colin[/name_m] (husband). I have always loved the name [name_m]Miles[/name_m] since it is classic but still not too common. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband likes the name [name_m]Colin[/name_m] because he thinks it is strong and goes well with his last name.
What do you think of [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Z_____

I kind of think though, that if you don’t love each other’s names, you should probably try to come up with a compromise third name. Maybe:

[name_m]Patrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]George[/name_m]
I like both, but prefer [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] are very handsome.
I like both names but since [name_m]Colin[/name_m] has always been one of my favorites I would have to say I like [name_m]Colin[/name_m] a tiny bit better.

Definitely, [name_m]Miles[/name_m] works with a Z last name. The ‘s’ at the end of Miles followed by the ‘Z’ of your surname doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, in my opinion, it makes it flow even smoother. [name_m]Miles[/name_m] is a head & shoulders above [name_m]Colin[/name_m] for me & [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Zy… sounds great!!!
[name_f]My[/name_f] vote is for [name_m]Colin[/name_m]! It is a really handsome, classic name. [name_m]Miles[/name_m] has always felt a little “weak” to me. And I am not a fan of the way the final “s” sound in [name_m]Miles[/name_m] would run into the beginning “Z” sound of your last name.
I love both [name_m]Colin[/name_m] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] but [name_m]Colin[/name_m] gets my vote here my hubby loves [name_m]Colin[/name_m] as well…

I love both names, but the ending of [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and your Z last name would run together. Choose [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] instead.
[name_f]My[/name_f] son’s name is [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and it is such a handsome name, strong, classic, unusual but yet sounds familiar and imho stands head and shoulders over [name_m]Colin[/name_m].
We live in Australia and there is a very nerdy character on one of the comedy shows that definitely does [name_m]Colin[/name_m] no favours.

[name_m]Colin[/name_m] is one of the very few names my mother has always told me I must NOT name my baby (it was never an option!) and I’m just really not a fan. [name_f]My[/name_f] mother dislikes [name_m]Colin[/name_m] as much as she dislikes the [name_u]Kayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Jayden[/name_u] trend
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_m]Miles[/name_m], but when I saw your last name starts with Z, I would definitely use [name_m]Colin[/name_m]. [name_m]Miles[/name_m] Z___ just runs together too much for my taste. They are both great names!
That’s a no-brainer for me, since I love [name_m]Miles[/name_m] but think [name_m]Colin[/name_m] is quite awful. (Dated, uncool, geeky in a bad way…just nothing I like about it, I’m afraid.)
I like [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] a lot, but I have to say I really like [name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m], especially with your last name.
I also think it would be better with your last name.
