So my top two names right now are Miles Flynn and Milo Shepherd. I thought of using Miles Shepherd with Milo as a nickname, but I don’t like how the “s” in Miles runs into the “s” in Shepherd. But at the same time, we’d be able to use both first names we like and how often are the first and middle names really used together, anyway? I keep going back and forth…
Honestly, while both work, [name_u]Milo[/name_u] with the nickname [name_u]Miles[/name_u] makes more sense to me than [name_u]Miles[/name_u] with the nickname [name_u]Milo[/name_u]! So I voted for [name_u]Milo[/name_u], since it flows a bit more nicely and I slightly prefer it as a name.
Thanks! I never thought of it the other way around, but it could work! I do agree that [name_u]Milo[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] flows the best out of the three!
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] wasn’t originally on our radar, but I realized it’s a nod to a family member (although not as direct an honor as we would’ve liked…we are just really struggling to find something that works) as well as a nod to my love for the Christmas/holiday season! LOL
What about [name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_u]Milo[/name_u], so [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] interrupts the two s sounds and you get to use both [name_u]Milo[/name_u] and [name_u]Miles[/name_u].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Milo[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]! And [name_u]Miles[/name_u] does seem like a natural nickname for [name_u]Milo[/name_u] if you want that option
I think both names work with shepherd. However I prefer [name_u]Milo[/name_u] over [name_u]Miles[/name_u] in general. It feels a little bit more jovial
I prefer [name_u]Miles[/name_u] to [name_u]Milo[/name_u]. I just like the softer sound, and I don’t think the “s” blends into [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] too much. I think [name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] sounds elegant (and I love the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] association too!)
