So, my top three boys’ names are [name]Miles[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Theo[/name] [name]Philip[/name], and [name]Gus[/name] [name]William[/name].
A few things:
I am also considering [name]Theodore[/name] nn [name]Theo[/name]. But if I would call him [name]Theo[/name] at least 95% of the time, is there really any point in giving him a ‘full’ name?
I’d also consider [name]August[/name] nn [name]Gus[/name], but I’m not crazy about [name]Miles[/name] and [name]August[/name] together since both names are also words. I think that together, for some reason, they the fact that they’re words seems more prominent. Am I over thinking this? Or do you agree? Also, like with [name]Theodore[/name] nn [name]Theo[/name], is it worth choosing a ‘full’ name?
My girls’ list consists of one name: [name]Jane[/name]. For some reason, I find girls’ names much harder than boys’ names. I like a lot, but love few (at the moment, one).
So, help me! What would you name [name]Miles[/name], [name]Theo[/name], and [name]Gus[/name]'s sister? And what do you think of [name]Jane[/name] with [name]Miles[/name], [name]Theo[/name], and [name]Gus[/name]?
I think [name]Miles[/name], [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Gus[/name] are an awesome sibset. They go really nice together. I would do [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]August[/name] just because I think it’s nice to have a formal name. I think [name]Jane[/name] works okay.
Some other girl’s names:
[name]Ada[/name]
[name]Tess[/name] (not sure if you’d want a [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Tess[/name] in one sibset though)
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Fay[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Cara[/name]
Thank you! First of all, I love your suggestions, especially [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Maisie[/name]. I get what you mean about having a full name and, funny enough, I would never use [name]Maisie[/name] without a formal name. Double standard? Perhaps, but I also think that [name]Gus[/name] and [name]Theo[/name] will age better than [name]Maisie[/name].
So, my top three boys’ names are [name]Miles[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Theo[/name] [name]Philip[/name], and [name]Gus[/name] [name]William[/name].
[name]Miles[/name] and [name]Theo[/name]/dore are pretty popular but they have lots of class. love [name]Henry[/name] & [name]Philip[/name], [name]William[/name] is just so popular but even i cant hate it lol.
another boy name to consider: [name]Jesse[/name]
i ALWAYS think there is a point to giving a ‘full’ name because it gives your child OPTIONS.
[name]Theo[/name] isnt too bad, but there are lots of other nicknames ([name]Teddy[/name]) that a grown adult wouldnt want to be called. [name]Theodore[/name] has more weight & availability for a man
its over flourished but i prefer [name]Augustus[/name] and even better [name]Augustin[/name], and love [name]Gus[/name]. this is one of the nicknames most adults would prefer trading out for work purposes etc. plus [name]August[/name] seems feminine to me
think [name]Jane[/name] works very well with this sibset, they all have the same classic feel.
other girl names you may like:
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Etta[/name]
[name]Wendy[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Danielle[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Nicole[/name]
Thanks! I also would do [name]Maisie[/name] as [name]Margaret[/name]. I really always choose full names to nicknames. I just think it’s nice to have a formal name to pull out for certain situations even if it’s just on wedding invitations or announced at graduations as they walk across the stage.
