Miller?

I like the name [name_m]Miller[/name_m] for a boy. My husband is a little worried because of the brand name of the beer and the “[name_m]Miller[/name_m] Time” commercials. Any thoughts?

I think of it as a surname which is very on trend and useable as a first. I like it and would love to meet a little [name_m]Miller[/name_m]!

I mostly associate it with the beer brand, and it’s a little too surnamey for me. However, if it’s your favorite name and if you can get your husband to like it, I would say use it.

[name_m]Miller[/name_m] is quite funky

It’s so common as a surname that it seems odd to me as a first name. I think [name_m]Mills[/name_m] would work better since it’s not so well-known as a surname. Or another -ler name like [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. Maybe another modern M name like [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m]? [name_m]Miles[/name_m]? [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]? [name_u]Murphy[/name_u]?

I like it, it’s very handsome!

I think [name_m]Palmer[/name_m], [name_m]Foster[/name_m], and [name_m]Leander[/name_m] are most useable.

I know a [name_m]Miller[/name_m] and he is adorable.[name_u]Love[/name_u] it

Wouldn’t think of the beer. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Miller[/name_m] being used as a first!!

I didn’t think of the beer, (probably because I don’t like any [name_m]Miller[/name_m] beers, lol) but I did think of how common it is as a surname. But, I’m sure if you’re in the US, there will be quite a few people who would make that connection. You just have to think about whether that will bother you and whether you’re willing to take the chance that it will bother your child.
