I came across [name]Millicent[/name] today, a name I had forgotten about. I quite like it.
It reminded me of some books I had when I was a kid, about a girl called [name]Millicent[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Amanda[/name], who was called [name]Milly[/name] [name]Molly[/name] [name]Mandy[/name]. I was in awe of that name then, in fact I still think it’s fab, makes me want to find excuses to say it out loud
I also love [name]Millicent[/name] - its sweetly vintage but has a strong sound (a blend of million and innocent :)). I like the nn [name]Millie[/name] spelled this way rather than [name]Milly[/name] which is too much like [name]Miley[/name].
[name]Millicent[/name] is really sweet and retro. I should like it more then I do. Unfortunately, I can’t get past the idea of combining millipedes and centipedes. This is silly, I know.
I loved the MMM books when I was a kid and this probably contributes to the soft spot I have for [name]Millicent[/name] nn [name]Milly[/name]. I do think that [name]Millie[/name] is a little prettier looking though.
I really like [name]Millicent[/name]. It has a cool sound but it’s still feminine and girly and [name]Milly[/name] makes it very wearable on a young child.
