I’m looking for twin boy names and really like [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]. But what are they like together? Is [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] too long and is [name_m]Milo[/name_m] too short?
I’ve always thought of [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as a cute ‘soft’ name, but when I found out it’s meaning was ‘soldier or merciful’ I changed my mind. [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is a lovely name but so different to [name_m]Milo[/name_m].
So what are your thoughts? Are [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] to different?
I like both names and agree with the connotations you’ve expressed. [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] I’ve never heard of before, but I love the name and potential for many nicknames. Maybe consider what names they would go by. Or add another name as [name_m]Milo[/name_m]'s first name so they have equal syllables.
As in [name_m]Milo[/name_m]-[name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_m]Lysander[/name_m].
I think they’re great as they are! [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] sound like names from some sort of Greek/[name_m]Roman[/name_m] epic tale (think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] and the Argonauts). I think they work really nicely together an I don’t think it matters that one is quite long and the other short - I know twins named [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], they’ve never seemed to mind the large difference in syllables. For me, [name_m]Milo[/name_m] would lose some of it’s charm if it were double barrelled.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you need middle name suggestions?
