Milo vs Samuel

For months I was set on [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and it’s my husband’s top pick so much so that he doesn’t really have another top contender. He likes [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. Lately, I really love [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] as a first. If we had a girl, it’ll be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] so as you can see I love a good classic name.
I do like that [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is more unique but it feels a little trendy to me. According to nameberry, it’s #2 on the list of fastest rising names of 2019. I feel like it may be one of those names where you can tell what decade the kid was born in while [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] is timeless.
Some issues with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] tho-
My friend does have a [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] that is 2. He goes by [name_u]Sammy[/name_u]. I would definitely run it by her first.
We both dislike like the nickname [name_u]Sammy[/name_u] and if we chose [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] would use the full name or plain old [name_u]Sam[/name_u].

What are your thoughts? I’m so set on my girl’s name but have a feeling it’s a boy. I’m due in a couple of weeks and would rather not be still trying to figure this out in the hospital :slight_smile: Although I totally believe in seeing what the baby looks like and going by that

Personally, I do prefer [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. I think the flow is absolutely beautiful, and it’s the perfect choice to me. I personally find [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] a little outdated, but I know a lot of people find it timeless, so I do see the appeal. [name_m]Miles[/name_m] could be a similar alternative?

I really love [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], but I think that you’ll know when you see him. I would have a middle name prepared for [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], so that when you meet your bub, you’ll know whether he’s a [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], or a [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] ___.

I prefer [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] just slightly though [name_m]Miles[/name_m] would be great too
