I’ve been thinking about [name_f]Mim[/name_f] today and I was wondering what names you’d use it as a nickname for?
So far I have [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Mim[/name_f]’ which I think is sweet!
Or would you consider it as a full name with a longer middle, like [name_f]Mim[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Mim[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]?
[name_f]Mim[/name_f] is gorgeous but I’m not entirely sure it’s full name material, and that’s coming from someone who loves nicknamey names. [name_f]Mim[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is lovely, though — I think a solid, traditional middle like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is exactly the right way to go if you are feeling bold enough to use [name_f]Mim[/name_f] on its own. I’ve seen [name_m]Nim[/name_m]/Nym, [name_u]Kim[/name_u], [name_m]Pim[/name_m], etc. used as full names so I suppose it’s not much different — just less established as a standalone.
What a sweet name! I prefer it as a nickname, because it is short and unexpected, but I’m not sure about it as a first. Some ideas that popped to my mind…
I’m loving [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] as full names for [name_f]Mim[/name_f]!!
I would use a longer name. I just don’t think it has enough substance to work as a full name. I love it as a nickname, though! There’s so many names it would work as a nickname for, and all of the ones I had thought of have been mentioned already. Though, my very first thought was [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
My first thoughts were:
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Carmon[/name_f]/[name_u]Carmin[/name_u]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f]
Mayim
Marion
I think [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] could work… I think it would make more sense if the middle started with an M as well… but that’s just my opinion.
I think [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmilie[/name_f] would be good alternatives to [name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Mim[/name_f]’s a cute nn but I would probably keep it as a nn. My first thought for a full name was [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch.
Thank you everyone!! Loving all the full name ideas! I hadn’t even considered [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] or [name_f]Ismay[/name_f]!
