(Not pregnant, just collecting :))
I think it should be [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] or [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. To me, they compete rather than complement. I’d scratch all the A names as [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] ends in A. M names can prob go too as already two in [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f]. Of the rest, I’d go for: [name_f]Peridot[/name_f], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_u]Larkin[/name_u] or [name_f]Fae[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] but I believe there is a cocktail called that (I don’t drink alcohol so I don’t know for sure).
[name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would be pretty. What about [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]?
I love [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f]! It’s very pretty and cheerful and Mimo/[name_u]Osie[/name_u] (like [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m]) would make very cute nickname. I don’t think the cocktail thing is an issue, young kids wouldn’t know of it and it’s not exactly something to get teased for anyway.
My favorite combos would be the ones with more well-known middles, like [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] and [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Mariam[/name_f] (I don’t like the way middles ending in -a sound with [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] as a first name)
I like [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f].
Um just my personal opinion: While [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] sounds like a nice name, it is a type of cocktail. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though a 5 year old child may not know what a mimosa is, most people above the age of 15 will. Please do not name a child after an alcoholic beverage. I understand you are not pregnant but just a fyi.
Really my only association with mimosa is the cocktail, which I think is less than ideal. Particularly as a first. Not that I don’t like mimosas…
My favorite combo from your list is [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f]. The simple strength of a name like [name_f]Fae[/name_f] really complements the unique, bouncy feel of [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f]. That said, I do want to echo the concerns of the previous posters regarding [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] as a fn. Perhaps you would consider [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f], Margosa, or [name_f]Mariposa[/name_f] as alternatives? Good luck!
I love [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] and [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]!
[name_f]Mariposa[/name_f] is so lovely, never thought of it before but now I’m intrigued! And I have never heard of [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] before, it definitely goes on my list
I know that mimosa is a cocktail but in Finland (where I’m from) [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f] is a legit name and I have met people called [name_f]Mimosa[/name_f]. I love the name but now I feel it should be on the mn spot.
Thank you everyone, so much appreciated!
