Minna?

Thoughts on [name_f]Minna[/name_f] please? I can’t decide if it’s sweet and strong but understatedly so, or just a bit plain.

Seems too plain. I love [name_f]Minette[/name_f], though.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Minna[/name_f]! It does slightly remind me of minnow though. Not boring at all!

It’s okay, but yes, I think maybe a little boring. I love [name_f]Mina[/name_f] though.

I like it a lot. I dont find it boring, though i prefer the [name_f]Mina[/name_f] spelling (just because of the Dracula reference)

I think [name_f]Minna[/name_f] is sweet and does go well with the other names on your list. It doesn’t stand out quite like some others do - I love [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f]! - but it is sweet. I also prefer it spelled [name_f]Mina[/name_f], perhaps also because of the literary connection (Dracula).

I would pronounce [name_f]Minna[/name_f] and [name_f]Mina[/name_f] completely differently, [name_f]Minna[/name_f] like [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mina[/name_f] like [name_f]Meena[/name_f].

[name_f]Minna[/name_f] is a good name, not boring at all but she does sound like a very quiet studious girl to me, I have a faint recollection of a [name_f]Minna[/name_f] in one of the [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women books, a [name_m]German[/name_m] relative of the [name_m]German[/name_m] professor [name_u]Jo[/name_u] ends up marrying so perhaps that influences my idea.

It is sweet, but honestly all I can think of is Dracula.

I love it! I don’t see it as boring or plain at all. It’s zippy and cute but also has substance.
I also like [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] from your list

I love [name_f]Mina[/name_f]!

But I’m shocked to see [name_f]Minette[/name_f] though. It’s a french word that means “Pussy", "Pussycat” or designed a female cat.

I think it might work better as a short version of something else. [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] might be an interesting option.
I also can’t get over the fact that it means ‘smaller/less’ in Icelandic but that’s just me  It’s pretty cute, but lacks a certain something in my opinion…

I’m very confused by the people pronouncing [name_f]Mina[/name_f] and [name_f]Minna[/name_f] the same. I would pronounce [name_f]Mina[/name_f] Mee-na, and [name_f]Minna[/name_f] [name_u]Min[/name_u]-nah. [name_m]How[/name_m] were you planning on pronouncing it katinka?

I think its a pretty enough name, if rather plain next to the wonderful [name_f]Juno[/name_f].

I like it! I’d pronounce it as [name_u]Min[/name_u]-nah and actually do like the double-n in the name. I think the name is very sweet and unexpected (at least where I’m from). It does remind me of Dracula, even though that was [name_f]Mina[/name_f], not [name_f]Minna[/name_f].

I think that [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Minna[/name_f] would be a sweet sibset
